Any connection between the employment negotiations at Cobham and the request for Expressions of Interest for positions at AeroRescue?

Contracts for Search and Rescue services are underway and Border Protection services must be under strain at the moment (given the number of Suspected Irregular Entry Visitors).

Cobham could not afford to lose experienced staff to AeroRescue because that would make it hard to get the SAR contract. Losing staff might make it hard to meet contractual obligations for the Border Protection contract too.

Where will this one go?

I believe there is something in the AMSA tender about not wanting industrial action pending, something to that effect anyway.

Oh, I bet the Aerorescue HOFO is just snowed under by resumes from experienced Cobham staff. Can't imagine how he'll deal with them all.

If thats the case Dashunder then they better stop screwing around and get the negotiations moving in the right direction or the SAR contract will go bye bye...

No more farriers appointments for some until the EBA is done!
