This may be what you are looking for:
Flight Radio for Pilots - VFR (CD-ROM) @ Turning Base - Pilot Supplies / Aviation Supplies
I got a copy for my Wife, it helped her immensely as did also purchasing a scanner and listening live like people have cited above. Spend a night at the Stamford Plaza at Sydney airport one day in top floor room with an airport view and crank up ya scanner......watch and learn.

Wow it seems I raised quiet a discussion.
Well I read the ATC VFR radio book but at least to me it seems all a bit different in the air.
I tried LiveATC.net but didn't really work for Melbourne.
So I ordered a simple Maycom AR 108 radio scanner and will do some
listening.
Thanks for all the comments!

Alex,
I don't know the setup at Tullamarine but here in Perth I took the transceiver and some Terminal Area Charts up to the observation deck at the international terminal. You may look like a tool (and security might wonder what the hell you are doing... especially if you have charts out) but it's worth it. Maybe look at getting some headphones.
Others may question why you would need to go to the airport as the majority of the work is outside of Tower's 5 nm circle. You'll hear the clearance requests, Taxi calls etc whilst looking at a real living breathing machine; it will really bring everything together... as long as you combine that with proper study and don't just go up there to watch shiny jets and look the part.
