Given the pic, I'm not sure.
If it is, I'd suggest you try another operator. All the DN operators are struggling for pilots, pretty much at any experience level.
MY OPINION, is that you can do a lot better than AF.

hhmmm remember those days when you'd do the standard rounds in the ironed slacks and shirt starting at AF and making your way past the operators to the turn off having been totally ignored the entire time.

Or how about cleaning up the boses front yard in preparation for the wet season or even better cleaning out his horse stables for the chance to do the odd icus run with him... But I guess we did manage to get a few beers out of him for it. Lol Great times!!

mate trust me, dont work for them. there are better things out there. the owner is not a good man.

don't waste your time with them!!! you'll spend more hours at mkt than flying... things would run alot better if the owner stuck to what he knows and let the CP & pilots do what they know! if you get work with them.. make sure you know your regs very well and stand your ground because you WILL be tested

I thought the issues of the VH-BBI accident were dealt with by the ATSB report and the inquest. You're just opening old wounds.

There is a consistency here. Have also heard experiences from several AF guys that made me cringe .
Seems Managers (in the bigger picture) still don't get the lack of pilots and treat them poorly with disrespect with the things that go on behind their backs.. . .
But at the end of the day why can't the boss simply be nice and form a working (and then profitable) relationship with the employees.
The shoe is definitely on the other foot guys so no need to learn how to tie your shoelaces standing up (no wasn't suggesting pilots are / used to be good at grabbing the ankles )
Take The Iron Mans advice and RUN. There are better jobs out there, from some perspectives. But then again you may thrive and look for those sort of conditions.

Ok so you have to mow the lawn and clip the hedge so that people driving past can see the sign ? So what ? Afterwards you'll probably have a heap of beers and Chinese that Geoffy buys (at 1/4 the cost of a lawnmowing bloke but so what; you're the one having a good time swallowing Chinese and Coopers).
Oh yeah, and you might get to slam in 600 hours of single out in the bush in about 8 months or get 500 MEC in DN in less time. Boo hoo poor bugger me.
And after you get that done then you can go and work for Direct or Ausjet. Or even better than those two, you can instead just go and get a dose of the clap.
How about working in the hangar ? Yeah, so maybe you might learn some stuff like how to pull plugs and clean them up while standing up to your ankles in mud at Galkarr-wuy 50 miles from nowhere late one arvo when you get a 300 mag drop on one side.

you're so right wawa.... everyone should go into work on there only day off to mow the lawn so they get food on their table.... or maybe spend 80hrs a week in the hangar at mkt 'helping' with 100 hrlys... you must have a very sore back

If I was looking for any type of work in aviation and af was the only company to offer me something, I would go back to laying bricks......
