Watchout!!!
Icarus, you might actually get what you ask for!
The airconditioned car will be a banged up van, but it is airconditioned... But i'd be asking for at least double that salary! Plus i'd ask for $100,000 upfront! Oh, and your super upfront too.
But don't think you'll be flying a turbine anytime soon, thats been on the cards since 1992.
WOMBAT.

Malley4 has hit it on the head.
The CP has now eventually worked out what everyone else worked out. The DepCP worked it out. The experienced twin drivers worked it out. That is, there's a loose cannon at the helm, and despite promises of this and that, and new types, nothing is EVER going to change, including the slow loss of contracts.
Just my 2c

I wonder if the next CP will answer the phone on Saturdays when the Chieftain has broken down at Hells Crack for the third time that week and the engineers are telling the pilot that a hydraulic leak streaking down the side of the fuse is totally normal.
But I guess thats just the golden eagle way.

You know, out of curiosity, does anyone else wonder if the K man has looked back over the last 3 years recently and regretted treating people like sh*t?
Came across as the sort of person who thought he was an expert in every field (a pilot, an honourary LAME, a manager, a saviour) so I get the impression he may be the type who will go to the end (which can't be far away) thinking it's only ever everyone else's fault. So naive...
Oh well, off to fly my shiny, well maintained plane.

yeah. tends to annoy the controllers at these international aerodromes tho.
who would have thought that these aircraft had such a fault, unbeknown to the designers, or engineers, or every other operator of them in the world who turned them in both directions and never had a problem. i guess they were just lucky

You guys are speaking as if it is all over.
“RUINS” McC. Is here to save the day.
They call him RUINS because,,,,,,
WHENEVER HE TOUCHES A PLANE,,,,,,,,,,
HE FU##ING RUINS IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Flat spot tyres, cylinder pots blown off engines, seatbelts hanging out and SLAPIN’LIKE AN AUCKLAND SCHOOLGIRL. WOW, if he can get checked to line than I don’t thin the standard can be very high at all. Hmmmm, makes you wonder if any of the ex GEA pilots can be any good.
Oops, nearly let the cat out of the bag. GEA not doing checks anymore??????? They used to do a NIGHT CHECK ON THE PKU PILOTS IN THE PLANE, not OVER THE PHONE. But the hills around YHM are soft enough for a fair paying passenger to bounce off ? Even if not I think the paperwork is ticked to indicate compliance with the Ops manual.

I'll have a bit of a bite at that one....
Once there was a Deputy Chief, Senior Base, Training pilots, and a Safety manager (no, a real one). These people expected a high standard and showed others by their own example first. They were people with a lot of experience and would help foster good pilots. The c&t system did once work, and work well! Once... The standard can be seen in where they are now. I think you know where they all are, or have a good idea.
HPT6 you wonder about the standard of the ex-GEA guys but then claim that night checks are done over the phone, surely that would mean that the standard has dropped at present? I just hope that you, if you are still there, and the current pilots are keeping their discipline in light of the lack of c&t and aiming to be as professional as they can be, Ruin's and all.
Now on Ruin's... Well, i know plenty out there are ready to have a go at him and for in their opinion (sounds like yours) for good reason, i won't dispute that. But things like flat-spotting tyres and seat-belts out the door, while not good, are learning experiences. Everyone does similar when just starting out. Cylinders are another matter but i fail to believe that in one flight such a thing could be caused by Ruins.
WOMBAT.
PS. Where is YHM (Hamilton?)
