Hi guys,

Had my references checked about 2 weeks ago, including my current employer.

Do they normally do reference checks prior to putting you on hold or before they will offer you a start date??

Hi, slightly off topic, but I'm wondering about medical checks in QANTAS. I am about to have part of my spine fused and a couple of discs replaced and was wondering if this would harm chances of getting into QANTAS

How long?? (Is a piece of string!!!)

I had reference checks completed just over 3 weeks ago. Still have not heard anymore, has anyone in the current recruiting drive had to wait longer than this for a start date after reference checks?

I would like hear something soon, after reference checks I think my current employer is giving me the worst shifts because they believe I will be going soon anyway, well hopefully I will be going!!

How many have you have start dates for Jan courses yet??

Fingers Crossed!!!

Thumbs up letter to start

I got a letter of intent early sept. I hadn't heard a thing for some time and called recruitment oct. I was told I won't be required till 2008 as all courses are full.
Late oct referees were called - I'm now on the mid dec course.

They may tell you you won't be required as I was told, but then get a call for a start date!
hang in there - just a matter of time if referees have been called - unless of course your referees go to town on you

I recently did the tests, if it is any help

English - 20 mins 40 questions
Maths - 35mins 35 questions
Patterns - 20 mins 40 questions
Cubes - 20 mins 50 questions

On to the sim and interview next!

I wonder if the 767 handles much differently to a C206?????

It's probably easier to handle than the C206....at least until they fail an engine on you!

(Note, no engine failures in the QF selection process, just talking about the 767 in general).
