I mentioned on Qrewroom that there is the letter and then the spirit of the law. It'll be interesting to see whether the spirit of LOA161 has really been 'canned' or whether they'll just ensure the letter of the law is adhered to. IE the cadets going on industry placement are 'employed' when they graduate and then given LWOP to go and do their placement.

More than one way to skin the cat.

From talking seniorority numbers with some mates who got in before the music stopped last time (late 2005) and since when I got in recently there is about 40 numbers missing in between our calculations. Been suggested that they are frozen numbers for our hard yarders tracking direct Dash 8 east coast jobs etc
Thems the brakes.....just happy to have a seat but anyone wants to lay the kindling under LOA161, I'll supply the kero and matches

Missing numbers

No doubt they would be the ghost numbers for the Qantas/Jetstar MOU.

Does anyone know how long the criminal history checks take? Is this just the standard ASIC stuff? Considering most folks applying would already have ASIC cards, why go through it again? Just to get a fresh one perhaps....

Have heard of interview call ups with people with around 1000 hours total time & minimal twin time. There may be people with less that i haven't heard about though.

Has anyone heard anything from Qantas HR recently ? It has gone very quiet all of a sudden. Has the 787 delay slowed the process ?

The criminal history / politically motivated violence check slows things down. It recently changed to become a lot more drawn out than it used to be.

Mstr Caution, I'm pretty sure there's no requirement for multi engine time for Qantas unless things have changed since I last looked.

Question

Just trying to start preparing in the hope i will get the psych testing soon and was wondering from those who have recently done it as to how many questions were in each section and what time frame was allowed for each?????

You can PM as well.

Much appreciated.
