Here's a few pictures from a flight around Taupo and the resident volcanoes on the 4th of January!

Sorry about the low quality hah!

Nice steep turn over Turangi

Ruapehu Summit

Ruapehu Crater Lake

Ngauruhoe Crater

Tongariro, Ngauruhoe, and Ruapehu

A nice overview of the area

Short finals NZAP 17

Slight crosswind incompetence made me off centre
Wasn't a bumpy landing, someone just liked playing with the focus... heh

Hope you enjoyed!

Wiz of Aus, I take it that you weren't driving the C208 in that Pic or it's old as it's been owned by the same operator for near 5 years now? Or you were driving it on cross-hire in WA possibly last year....

Capt. Cynical - it's a SkyArrow down south of Moorabbin. Only 2 in the country. 80hp Rotax pushing it along at 85 knots!

PF, the underside of something that needs cleaning? Ah, I remember the days of cleaning (or rather trying to clean) TK's machines. What would start out as a half an hour's work would turn into an all day event!

Not in a monetary sense, but there were a few perks that came my way as a result.

And what's the latest on the fuel situation?
The jury's still out unfortunately, & I'm still fielding phone calls from people.

That'd be right, the Port Disgusting pilots were required to wash and polish their own planes. Guess that didn't apply to the Adelaide based pilots.
