I have a Canon 350D. Personally I don’t think you can beat it in the digital SLR camera market. There are a stack of different lenses and options and it is dead easy to use if you want to take shots in auto or as you become more competent you can try being a little artistic with it and go fully manual and then use the excellent software that comes with it to play around with the image or images.

G'day Jarse,

No I didn't. As we say, if it's good enough for the Concorde, it's good enough for us. Junior's operational again and I've been happily riding around the countryside. When will you be riding again?

Great pics every one. Really enjoying them.

Its the memories more than the camera. Hope this doesn't offend.

Scanned from a print off an SLR from memory.

The next two with a Nikon Coolpix 3.2 mega pixels

And please heed the good advice. personally abstaining is my motto.

My Office [the one I fly - taken at Shanghai airshow by a professional who kindly sent me a copy- sorry i don't know what camera he used]

This certainly makes it EASY Note the cross top middle - that's our mouse pointer - the CCDs are located next to the power levers on the above picture

Any digital camera that has at least 10X optical zoom and 6 megapixels would be good, there is a good Canon in the shops for around $ 400+ that has that capability (and I want one) Fuji also has a similar set up. Wsa flying abeam Carnarvon National Park in mid May not long after first light @A045 and the view of the breaking sun on the escarpments was great. Unfortunately only had a 3 mega and 3X zoom so the shots were only average (I refuse to accept any responsibility for bad photos or flying) My Canon T80 (SLR) has long been retired but maybe I better get it out for a service and just pay extra for the film.
cheers

No unfortunately I never got the chance to see Yamamoto's wreck. These are wrecks on Ballalae island in the western province of the Solomons, which was Yamamoto's original destination. The island is full of wrecks that were abandoned where they were parked after the Americans filled them with holes.
