Tinnie. Parker is on the list: "Parker, Max B."

There was a Keith and Kathy ???? both pilots but I thought Kathy worked for Biscuit Ears, not Talair? Last heard they had retired to Cairns.

Tim Hancock?

Think he was with Talair in Lae for a short time in '79, then either moved to the opposition or went pinis.

Among others missing from the list...(this could be a big list)

Geoff Colmorgan
Rob Webb
Ian Osbourne
Peter Fogarty
Peter Lehman
Ken Sellers
Len O'Shea

Wasn't the husband and wife pilot team out of Rabaul, Keith and Kathy Black?? I think Keith was in the Bandit that went down into the sea making an approach into Hoskins the same day that the Air Niugini F28 had the overrun in Hoskins? This would have been early to mid eighties if memory serves me correct. Someone can confirm this from the Balus books, mine are in storage.

Capt Fathom... Did you mean Peter Leamon.. I was based in Daru with him. I believe he ws killed in an MU2 prang about 10 years ago.. He is included in the list. Some names I didn't see for the 80's group,

Russel Thomas
Gilmore Lavoro
Umake Tavinke

Is anyone collating these names into a new Revision 2 list?

If it was Keith Black in the bandit, his ghost is flying for AirNiugini at the moment. He was at the Yachtie the other night.
Maybe Keith Hunt. P2 RDM, Feb. 1987.

I still have the original data base of Talair staff (pilots and ground staff) which I produced for Kevin Dodd and Sharpie for a very successful Talair reunion on the Sunshine Coast in 2007. The list was checked by Bob Fulton and Gerry Hudson.
It would be no trouble to update it from information on this thread pages if anyone requires it.
Let me know please.

Thanks for the corrections guys and my apologies to the obviously much present Keith Black for the error .... This clearly shows the effect on ones memory cells of the consumption of copious quantities of SP .... taken in ones prime and youth. Or is it the scorching desert sun??

Looking through the list brought back a lot of good memories though. Thanks for publishing it Tinnie.

Ex-TAL Pilots

Lots of names on the list that I flew with - but I don't think they were all in TAL.

I flew for TAL 1971-73 before joining PX in 1974 but can't remember another 'Adams' with the initial 'C' as shown on the list. Maybe this entry is supposed to be me?
