yeah..
I'm talking about pilot jobs. Sure there are none right now, but I guess now is a good time to see which companies that are standing strong and not reduce the salery or the number of pilots. Since SAS is constantly reducing pilots we can skipp them on this list.

I would go for CimberSterling or Wideroe maybe Norwegian . But dont know if any of them is hiring right now. Netjets is also a good option but they will not hire any the next couple of years

Yep, if you really, really, wanna fly for a Scandinavian (based) company (not that I would understand why) then I would say Thomas Cook and / or Wideroe... That's it I am afraid. The rest looks like the standard Scandinavian "two three years in operation before we go tits up and start under a new name" or proper low cost style a la easyJet and Ryanair.....ie Cimber/Sterling and Norwegian etc where you will see a lot of eastern European contracts, summer season only contracts and cadets working for free during the summer before getting the boot in the winter and then we take on new cadets next summer.....

Good luck!

Selvfølgelig med sine ups and downs, men alikevel; selskapet virker relativt solid.

How does it come nobody recognizes Lufttransport as one of the best companies in Scandinavia?
The pay isn´t exactly above average, but long term contracts, very good roster and a good working environment makes it, in my eyes, one of the best.
But I guess props makes it less worth for some...

Edit: Some spelling, I guess a good roster isn´t the same as a good rooster...

Zenith, you beat me to it Lufttransport is probably the most secure air taxi/airline you can work for. Your points are by far the most valid; good roster, long term contracts (10 years, no?), decent pay. Bases all over Norway , and some in Sweden if I`m not mistaken.

Charter companies are all ok. I know several F/Os flying for them, and they are all very happy with rosters, pay and bases.

Other than this, housecarl sums it all up very well. Unfortunately, none are hiring at the moment

13th stage: Yes it's true.

However we get 60% for working one year followed by one year off or vice versa over a period of four years. During this time we can not be made redundant and we are allowed to work elsewhere during the off years.

The 60% salary is still better then the MD-80 jobs I had and was offered during the last years before I joined NetJets! And we will get two years of out of four to do whatever we want! That puts it above average...

I honestly think this is a good deal instead of being kicked out. Nevertheless I can't stop thinking about how my life would look like if I chosen Wideroe instead of NetJets in 2007...

To get back on track, I can highly recommend NetJets for scandis after this crisis blows over and we start hiring again.

Swedish NetJets F/O

(Starting salary in NetJets is 4700 euro pm + per diems 70 euro per duty day)

NetJets

Nja, man kan velge selv.
NJE tilbyr endel pakker for å bli kvitt piloter.

Hvem betaler for kurset?

Dog forundret over at det kjøres kurs for bare 6 månederes ansettelser.
Nærmest som vikariat å regne.

"third Malmö, sure its a nice company. I´ve heard no complaints, but they rise and fall with Bromma and they hired a lot a few years back so an upgrade can be a long wait and the F/O pay at Malmö is not up to par and not the best roster either..."

The roster is good. Very good. It´s if you have a base that is not your home that could cloud the life a bit..
