BT Recruitmet Info.

I'm out there later this month for B737 interviews/tests, does anyone know what can be expected?

I see it's a bit cold there at the moment, I'll bring the gloves!

Thanks

AB Info

Hi,

Does anybody have some info about the roster?
And for the non-latvians, are you living there, or commuting? Is it possible to commuty and have some quality time in your own country?

What about the bases? is it only Riga, or also in other country's (for the F50?)

Thanks

I've heard you can expect a 737 tech questionaire, and one with general atpl questions. Then there is a sim check and a interview with HR. And some psychological tests. Everything quite relaxed.

Does anybody have an email to somebody in HR there?

Good luck.

Re-scheduled due to movement of furniture. Air Baltic (or just HR, I don`t know that exactly) is moving.

HR department

HR department are as of today under new management, hopefully this will lead to improvements in this department. Most likely there will be a new person responsible for the recruitment process.

Scheduling is still a big problem for foreigners since we are working usually in a 6-1 and 6-2 sometimes a 6-3 roster pattern on the regional side of the airline with nightstops every second day.

Another problem is the contracts that seemed to be different for different employees. Some are payed from offshore company and some from the main BT company. Differences in tax makes this system unequal.

There are also pilots leaving the company due to the problems with schedule and go back to their old "office work" in their home country.

Positive side is that the company is still expanding and will require more pilots, and the commander upgrade comes fast (2 years).

The job is not a walk in the park, the atmosphere among employees are more and more leading towards conflict and even some calls for strike.
Theres no trust in the Union, there are rumours about the chairman that blocks all improvements and demands from the union side.

Hopefully we will be able to see some positive changes in the next year and our profession will not appear as doomed as it is now.

Good Luck to you all.
May the force be with you.

"Talking in the corners"

I can agree fully in what Mrs Bernoulli writes, rumors or not.

Air Baltic is for sure taking more than they give back to its employees. Worst for the F50-pilots where the roster is a ticking bomb, leaving no chance to live a normal life (not even for the locals thats already home). On the Boeing more longer flights gives better salary and roster.

There is a union, but no leader... since he is owned by the company.

Boeing MPL

Yes Mr.Blu(e) also used to refuse elections in the union.

I read that Boeings training branch is working with a Eastern European carrier to train locals from scratch. Could it be BT?

Also spoke to a CRJ Captain that wanted to fly 737 and was offered Rating and 300hrs on type by BT for a buck or two- Could it be true?
