kpt_magnus Interview
Hi there, expect a technical interview with general ATPL questions. You have to read and explain a SID also. SIM test is no so hard, it's a PC flight simulator, I think the name is ELITE. After that you will have a HR interview and 2 o 3 written ATPL questions, depends if you are rated or not. If not, just the 2 about ATPL because the third one is about the type raiting. Anyway, the people there are very nice and everything is very relaxed. If you pass the first stage they will call you back on another day to get the psichological test.
I got the first part of the selection at the end of July but not answer yet. Still finger crossed. Anyone in the same situation???
Anyway, let me know if you need more info. Write me a pm if you like.....
GOOD LUCK

From what I've heard, AirBaltic have recieved more than a few applications from Sterling-pilots who are about to become redundant.
airdesert,
If you were there late July and still haven't heard anything, I'm afraid you won't be hearing from them. Usually, if you are called back for psycho, it will happen pretty quickly.

Interview - feedback
I had a interview with AB the 4`th of september, and they told me that they needed one to three weeks to give notice. Is there anybody else that have had a Interview with them lately? And how long did it take to get the feedback?
They told me that they are planing one course late September and one late October.

Hi there.
I have an intervju there next week. I do not have a rating.
How about you? You have a rating? Or is it for the F50? Heard anything about the tests for non rated pilots, ?
Thanks.

Air Baltic is leaving the Lithuanian market according to a press release today. This will probably not speed up the recruiting...unfortunately

Any BT people in VNO who can shed some light on what is happening there?
airBaltic - Go to the Baltics! Cheap flights to Riga, Vilnius, Tallinn and Eastern Europe! Cheap tickets here! - airBaltic press release contains only Herr Flick's propaganda statements... hmm.

The FO's who are made redundant were contractors on a 6 month contract. So the contract has ended, thats about the story. No permanent pilot has been made redundant and the way the plans look, there is no need for it either. 737 fleet still to increase, new routes and increase of existing frequencies. There are 4 more 737s in the pipeline and they need to be staffed. These aircraft will supplement the fleet til next summer, then some of the oldest 737 ships leave the fleet. Also talks about a third 757 are going. No need to panic, recruitment will slow down for a bit as this years requirements have been met (like with other airlines as well), but there is still 2009 to come. Same story on the Fokker, Fleet increased a bit, contracts prolonged and Dash's to arrive as well. There is plenty to fly up there...
