nm, don't you think it might be best to delete this thread? I know you didn't mean to be nasty but it does come across in very bad taste particularly given the circumstances (war etc).

Oh come on guys, this is hilarious. Irrespective of the political incorrectness of the thread, I thought the analogy to the wellington boot and the hooverbag were brilliant!

Monkey. Well you certainly got the intended bite! And sorry girls, but it did make me laugh.

Northernmonkey,

As has already been said, a truly spiteful, and may I add pathetic thread.

troll alert ? ?

Sorry to disappoint but have been involved directly with Mil Avn for a number of years.

For those quick to jump on the don't be cruel bandwagon, chill out. Im sure the blokes involved can fend for themselves, and being involved in a war environment only fuels the need for banter.

I also note that no-one is defending thier looks, does that mean all the thread protesters are in quiet agreement?

I will not retract my initial statement, they are mooses!

Anyway, this should be a breath of fresh air, nobody has mentioned Israel yet

Northermonkey,

mentioning people's looks the way you do is just impolite .
What do you expect by doing this? It is not funny at all and can at most hurt people's feelings (provided someone is interested in your opinion, and that doesn't seem to be the case), and give away your values, even if you are joking.
No, wait, it also proves the dignity of the people you were referring to and that seem not to give the most ephemeral of the gifts the same importance as you.

I suggest you let this disgraced attempt of humour die of a natural death.

and I mean it!!!

Yeah but he's got a point. Some of them looked like they had fallen out of the ugly tree and hit all of the branches on the way down.

The phrase "bulldog chewing a bag of wasps" would bring around terrible retribution from the RSPCA for cruelty to bullddogs.

Man there must have been some cider visors on when they met that lot

Oh listen to yourself, this was originally posted in the mil forum where banter isn't un heard of, it was then moved after someone dragged it off thread and mentioned sheep etc.

How many other posts on here can be deemed as being impolite, would you like me to list them, shall I start with the busier threads such as the French etc etc

God you lot are a bunch of Jessies. So, lets get this right, it's OK to post racially insulting threads but not OK for this guy to state the obvious, i.e. that most of those wives were uglier than a massive bag of really really ugly things.

Just admit it, most of them made Mandy Dingle look presentable, and that takes a lot, and I mean a lot, of ale.

Stop sulking you big poofs

I have been PPruNeing for at least five years, and this is the ****tiest post I have ever seen, bar none.

Arrogant, sexist, insensitive - and that's before we get to what passes for your sense of priorities.

I look forward to Mr. monkey posting snaps of himself, his wife (if indeed such a poor creature exists) and his children. Failing that his siblings and parents will do.

Come on Mr. Amazon:- we know what you despise. Give us something to admire>

I have not actually seen the coverage which you described on the telly of the returning aircrew, not that it makes any difference though.

I realise that you did not mean any harm by creating this thread. However irrespective of what experience you have with / in the military surely you can see the potential for offence (not just the PC crap, but real), that your posting creates.

What happens when the people concerned (who no doubt use PPRuNe from time to time) see this? How would you feel if you were to read similar comments about someone you were close to?

I have read through most of your recent postings onto here and don't believe that the contents of this thread really represent you properly. As I said before I think you should delete this one.

The day I post pictures of children for you to enjoy will be the day I set fire to my face and beat it out with a shovel, like the Leuchars wives club did

If the Mods want to delete it then it is a sad day out, they then need to remove everything that could possibly cause offence on this site.

Like I said if you need a list It would take a couple of days to collate but Ill be more than happy to do so

Anyway, If I put my piccy up here all the chicks, the Royal Navy and half the crabs would be pestering me

Is this Jetblast or a section of the local towns womens guild website??????

Are you a girl in disguise.

I thought that the Womens Institute was all touch feely and PC, but you really take the biccy!

What is wrong with pointing out that some, and i say some, of the wives look like they have been set on fire and then beaten out with a shovel?

The Mods are not deleting this thread because there is no rule forbidding someone to make himself a fool in front of the pprune audience. Fuji was just offering you a friendly advice by suggesting that YOU delete it to avoid that fatal slipping deeper in the muck you have put yourself in.

Well I think it's funny.

And the complainers are just jessies, probably civvies and more than likeley transvestites, with really, really dog ugly wives.

It is big and it is clever

I would say being as ugly as some of them were (and that was child scaringly ugly) is much, much worse than being a moron.

I am truly pleased and am full of new hope

If I am happy to land myself in the said muck then allow me to add more.

The ladies on the pan at Leuchars were bigger than the bowsers that refuelled the returning ADVs, the Towing tractor was more appealing and the Bird scarer was more attractiive

I can onyl assume that RAF Leachars is now a spider free zone, they have all been frightened off and have been re-homed somewhere less frightening

Severe sense of humour failure by lots of over-sensitive posters on this thread.

This is the 'Jet blast' forum, after all. Some of you should read the warning before you enter it! Relax, or move somewhere else for your entertainment.

nm, I did not suggest (or mean to suggest), that the PPRuNe site moderators should delete your posting. What I was hoping would be that you might decide that you would delete it once you had had chance to give it a bit more consideration.

Is this Jetblast or a section of the local towns womens guild website??????
Do you mean that you think that you should be able to put anything you would like to on JB / PPRuNe?
