Another Walt? and a Chief Constable at that!
Is he still in post?

To do otherwise than to return his contributions would in effect be levying a fine without legal process would it not?
Nigerian In Law
I do some part time work for an organisation involved with police training in Northamptonshire. To a man/woman the officers I've encountered were dissatisfied with his leadership style and strategic decision making process. According to the ones who've spoken about him, he was high handed and rarely consulted his SLT before promulgating policy changes that had an effect on the entire force. An example was the introduction of an Interceptor squad using souped up Skodas. They're the only type in the force, making them a nightmare to service/repair. The officers driving them weren't trained to handle them so they're often invloved in RTAs and off the road.
They're much happier with the stand in CC.

This is interesting

Note, wearing an officers cap in the first photo though not entitled as he never was one.
There is also a photo of his brother wearing his Falklands medal in 2020, though he said his brother gave him the medal in 2013.
Another image shows him wearing the FI medal but no GSM.
NI Medal ribbon before the FI medal
Medal positions reversed

Is he wearing another ribbon in this?
Look over there !
Surely being a decent policeman far outweighs his fashion sense , as he is not in the headlines for other reasons unlike some of his colleagues we can assume he is a good policeman , especially someone who has been around that long . To forgive is Devine etc anyway I thought the group photo was a wind up as normally the light blue beret of the AAC should be front & centre as they regularly claim it’s the hardest regiment in the army to get into etc etc
Of course everyone expects a Chief Constable to lie. They're politicians. But like politicians they can't get caught.
So, if true, it's career ending. But no more than that.

Good policemen don’t fabricate their past.

I wonder what a psychiatrist would say both about the chief constable and those who take such enormous ownership and offence at his relatively harmless fantasy .

"No, there isn't one!"
"Neither is there in these £4 trousers!"
