I do some part time work for an organisation involved with police training in Northamptonshire. To a man/woman the officers I've encountered were dissatisfied with his leadership style and strategic decision making process. According to the ones who've spoken about him, he was high handed and rarely consulted his SLT before promulgating policy changes that had an effect on the entire force. An example was the introduction of an Interceptor squad using souped up Skodas. They're the only type in the force, making them a nightmare to service/repair. The officers driving them weren't trained to handle them so they're often invloved in RTAs and off the road.
They're much happier with the stand in CC.
