"If that's what the padre said then god &/or Patriach Krill will protect us, but either way, we're totally stuffed f**k*d! - I want my mummy!"

Thanks for all the contributions - such a good standard that it's been hard to choose, but here's what tickled me:

Honourable mentions to

622: Wow ...you're a bee keeper too!!

NutLoose: They say we’re the last defence line protecting Croydon, my question is why bother? (Many a true word...)

3rd place goes to Chu Chu: Temporarily assigned to local defense, flight officer candidates still manage to get in some time under the hood.

2nd place goes to treadigraph: Well my boy, this is going to be one hell of a shotgun wedding...

And the winner is...

Wensleydale: I feel such a burka wearing this...

So congrats and over to you Wensleydale to start the week off!

Early carrier trials find that 38 wires are too many, and will try again with maybe 6.

The pilot didn’t stick around. But Hoskins’ fingerprints are all over this.

After a successful proof of concept, it only remained to work the kinks out of mechanized wire rope manufacture.

Well we could shift the blame onto the electricians and put the crash down to a wiring fault.

Bravo Hoskins, bravely staying with the aircraft to avoid whatever that box thingy down there is.
