Russian occupiers hit the central market in Kostyantynivka.

There were many people in the market at the time of the strike. It is reported that there are victims.

*Update:

Yeah, about the same for me. The twisting of history about a war of choice is just not digestible; black is white runs deep in Russia.....

She is surprised that the BRIC-states don't supply weapons and soldiers to Russia?

Lithuania playing hard rules….

More than 60% of Russians failed the language test to obtain a residence permit in Latvia.

Suitcase, train station, Russia.

6893 Russians living in Latvia failed the Latvian language test for the A2 category, which allows them to obtain a residence permit. This is 61% of the 11,301 who took the test.

This was reported by the head of the Education Retention Center (VISC) Lieni Voronenko.

The A2 language certificate is required to enable Russian citizens who have been subject to the amendments to the Immigration Law to apply for EU permanent resident status in Latvia, instead of the residence permit that has expired.

The previous version of the residence permit expired on September 2. This right could be extended until the end of the year by signing up for a retake of the language exam before September 1.

But, as it turned out, not everyone can pass it…..

I presume that is Latvia, rather than Lithuania? They are both Baltic States so maybe similar rules apply?

Presumably Latvian phrases such as vārda brīvība aren't understood by Russians?

I was surprised she mentioned The UK, France and USA who partnered Russia in defeating Germany as the previous bile had omitted their contributions to the war... I also note she never mentioned their other earlier partner.. Germany, but I suppose that does not fit the narrative.

She also fails in missing out the fact that the tractor factories that churned out all these vehicles was actually built and assembled in the USA, then stripped down shipped to Russia and rebuilt by Americans.

Nor the fact that the ships they were sent on were protected by ships of the Royal Navy escorting the Arctic convoys manned by men like my father a Petty Officer Stoker who told me of the horrendous conditions both war and meteorological. Not much fun chipping ice off in Lots of -° and then having to man the starboard Chicago Piano* during Action Stations

* mutli-barrelled AA gun Oerlikon IIRC

Some years ago I got to read some first-person narratives of the Murmansk Run, which was the ships sending aid to the Soviets during WW II. (For a staff paper). Grim duty, that.

Back On Topic:
I keep reading (CNN this time) that Ukraine has made a breakthrough, but I am not sure what that means...
Other than more hard fighting.

Another Russian that deserves a bullet, unfortunately that would be too quick in his case.

Men like my Grand Father who crewed the Liberty ships that took the supplies from the UK to Russia. He said the Russians were as bad as the Nazis, just wore different uniforms.
Spending the whole journey smashing ice from the ship to stop it capsizing then arriving in Russia to be greeted by rather unpleasant fellows.
He was sunk several times in the Atlantic, but he feared most being sunk in the Baltic as there was no chance of rescue.

Maybe as was mentioned in the previous thread and as demanded by MacArthur that we join with the good Germans and push through to Moscow.
History would be very different now.

Interesting, it looks like it can be possible, so lang as the drone is not going to be tracked in a pursuit curve, or a lead. In this case the guys were flying a pursuit curve, and that requires more V from the drone than the murdering sociopathic criminal invaders "target". That is going to need a wider angle camera, and some graticule that can have the offset angle displayed to be kept on the target by the operator. It will be at least 45 degrees, probably closer to 60, they know their speeds, and the "targets" speed. Head on is not going to happen ofter, but might occasionally, an RPG round on the drone will get the attention of the driver, more so if they can remote detonate the head as a proximity fuze.

Romania now open to confirming the Russian drones hit their territory. Not that they have much choice in view of the evidence…

Romania’s President Klaus Iohannis:

"If it is confirmed that the debris that has been found comes from a Russian drone, this situation will be completely unacceptable and will be a serious violation of Romania's sovereignty and territorial integrity”
