Mr Fish it is planned on two days, hence why a lot of us are saying we have tickets for East Kirkby

Just Jane will be doing her taxying while the other two fly overhead

The tickets were for one day only and limited to 5000, they sold out in hours, so they managed to arrange a second day to meet some of the demand, and that sold out too I believe.

See where she is visiting on post 1

Tuesday September 2

Both the BBMF Lancaster and the CWH Lancaster perform a flypast together over the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre's "Just Jane" Lancaster as she does a taxi run. Don't miss this rare photo op of the three Lancasters together.

If you happen to be near the secret Lincs airbase at, oh, say...13:30 tomorrow..you might see both of Mr.Chadwicks finest and the BBMF warm up act (sorry reds, couldn't help me'self). I wouldn't go though, as Harry staish has asked the unwashed to stay away.

Whilst I am as excited as everyone else at the thought of two Lancasters gracing the UK skies together, (possibly for the one and only time), I am surprised and disappointed that no mention has been made of a flyover of its spiritual home.

Lancaster Bomber 2014 UK Tour

Most of the displays appear to be taking place over the southern and eastern counties of England, yet the aircraft was designed and built in the north, with the exception of some which were built in Castle Bromwich and Longbridge.

I am well aware that BAe (as the successor to Avro) no longer has a presence at either of the Manchester factories where the aircraft was built and flown, but there are still many people in the area who have close connections with it and it would have been courteous to have acknowledged this.

Well, one flight is travelling down the west coast, perhaps it may then, I know when the Vulcan overflew last year? They deliberately witheld it was coming, if I remember correctly because it was requested by the new owners to alleviate traffic issues...

It's spiritual home is Middleton St George as that is where Mynarski won his VC and is the scheme she carries, so she is visiting Teeside as it is now.

Noise? noise! Have a care Sir.

Anyway, it must be frustrating having that Mitchell tagging on behind.
