Loving the CGI, one question?

It is a prerequisite for all pilots of la Patrouille de France to act out a scene from Rain Man during the briefing?

A small aside.....

Reminds me of the story of when Julius Caesar first came up against Asterix and his chums before the magic potion had been discovered. Needless to say, the Romans won a great victory, so Julius claimed a "Triumph" parade on his return to Rome. However, Caesar claimed 50,00 dead enemies for his Triumph to get more funding. Mark Anthony was a little peaved because on his count, there were only 25,00 dead Frenchies. After much argument, Caesar finally played his trump card:

"But remember Mark, in Europe away Gauls count double".

"Ay Thang yow".

How could anyone in their right mind actually be fooled by this ?

Oh, and btw, EVERY display team I have come across "walk" through their display before flying it, EVERY TIME. It's kinda like a ballet, with everyone "chair-flying" their part -

The Reds do it, Patrouille De France, Breitling Jet Team, you name it .....

I hope the comments regarding the cowardness of the French fighting man (those that are not in command) are tongue in cheek.

If not then I think that some people need to start reading a few books and getting their facts straight.

Did you mean cowardness or cowardliness ?

Are you suggesting that those in command of French forces are cowards whilst those that are not in Command are not cowards. I'm not sure that anyone is calling the French people cowards but merely commenting on the vast number of battles, wars and conflicts they have won....Impressive.

Wasn't this about a film clip when the thread began? Jeez, now it's becoming a political discussion. Why don't we leave those to the politicians and get on with it .....

Keep up!
Britney Spears not miming on X Factor was so last year.
It’s Cheryl Cole wasn't miming on X Factor this year.

Just came across this on Youtube (entendre? a double please), and not a special effect in sight. Live firing during an airshow? Shurely not.

YouTube - Axalp Air Show 2006

(and there's me thinking the Patrouille Suisse were a bit cr*p - we forget that most of their domestic displays will be in some fairly challenging terrain).
