HM Forces.co.uk
I've just used the link at the bottom of the page to have a quick scan of the new website.
Interesting that the first 'article' is about 'the 4 steps to resettlement' with links to the 'CV Centre', 'tips for making the transition'.
But the link to 11 reason to date a sailor!...oh come on???
A sign of the times I guess.....new website to help us all leave!

Took me a little while to get it, but then I found this as the related googley ad at the bottom of my version:

And the penny drops
www.hmforces.co.uk is part of the Monster careers and recruiting company.
What could be the business plan?
- Set up an unofficial website to (allegedly) help inform on armed forces careers?
- Link it with experienced forces personnel, forums and chat?
- Insert other job and career opportunities?
- Include a CV centre?
- stand back and wait, having created the Pull effect?
No, I must be wrong. There are recruiting ads from both RN and the Army, so it must be backed officially.
Confused.

Long time since I have seen 'Military' and 'Advantage' used in conjunction. I am not sure what this site is trying to achieve; doesn't provide much for the chaps, and the MOD propaganda machine has dozens of existing outlets already.

I've been wrong before, but expect this site will be dead in about 6 months.

I think this is little more than a 'placeholder' / cybersquatting site. Like many others, the site simply has drivel content with a few keywords and a 'hot' address. The registrant will make its money from advertising without really giving a sh1t about the site contents until such time as they can sell the domain name at a profit. If users freely contribute useful content (as on PPRUNE) so much the better for the owner.
The appearance of official military advertisements on the site is no indication of official endorsement. Most advertising, eg Google Ads, is syndicated out to 'relevent' pages automatically. Looks like a complete waste of electrons.

One word that springs to mind is resettlement? A word that is often synonymous with a poor resettlement for many service personnel. I think this new site caters for people needing advice which you don't often get in the Forces, unless you look for it!
Come on, you're British. 10 Reasons to date a soldier is pure cheese and that's the whole point. right?
