Cable Car Accident

In light of the tragic accident accident that occurred when a helo dropped a large concrete block onto the wires, what if any measures do military rotary operators take when doing tsks similar to this. Are you instructed to avoid built up areas or is direct track, terrain permitting the option. I realise that there are many different things to take into account

In my role as a pedantic nitpicker, I would point out that what you have described is what initial reports stated on TV/Radio broadcasts to be the "cause of the accident".

What the true "cause of the accident" was will have to await the appropriate Accident Investigation Inquiry Report.
