Are you instructed to avoid built up areas or is direct track, terrain permitting the option. I realise that there are many different things to take into account

In my role as a pedantic nitpicker, I would point out that what you have described is what initial reports stated on TV/Radio broadcasts to be the "cause of the accident".

What the true "cause of the accident" was will have to await the appropriate Accident Investigation Inquiry Report.
