Crewroom banter aside I've nothing but respect and pride for the professionalism and good humour of all the albert crews. A tragic loss to Lyneham and the RAF. Now is the time to let the relatives grieve in peace, but in the knowledge they all have our support and thoughts.

RIP

Lafyar and scroggs

Would appear that Blair's speech was directed at the numerous Army personnel being carried on board at the time.

Maybe not a pre perpared speech but one from a man who was privy to more information than this forum members.

A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing.

RIP friends,

Still at the stage of disbelief that it could ever happen to such a good set of people. A sad,sad loss to all who knew you, a finer bunch you would be very hard pushed to meet.

Good to see that speculation isn't dead though. Not content with comments on this crash, the IDIOT from Janes (defence experts if you didn't know) remarks that the 1999 Albania crash was caused by an incorrectly tied down load. I know some people who would like to have a chat...

A big loss on every aircrew seat for Lyneham, as well as those fine GEs in the rear.

Overall a dark day.

I am shocked, and feel hollow inside with this news. I also offer my deepest condolencies to the families and other friends that may read these pages.

It really brings things into perspective for us all.

We are proud of you and will never forget.

It is occasions like these were a simple three word sentence would suffice, but the website won't post such a short entry.

I don't mind admitting it, I'm having a good cry for my mate and there's nothing that could possibly make it better. The worst of it is, it's not the first and won't be the last.

God Bless, Boys
