Military Aviation A forum for the professionals who fly military hardware. Also for the backroom boys and girls who support the flying and maintain the equipment, and without whom nothing would ever leave the ground. All armies, navies and air forces of the world equally welcome here.

Ok - having spent most of the evening going through the entries, the winner is Penny Washers with:

"McTavish's saxpence must be foond. All the Scots crew agreed on that".

Although in reality the photograph is of the Smith crew of an RAAF Squadron at Waddington during the Winter of 1943/44. (Its either 467 or 463 - I can't remember).

Well done sir - get the Nav to calculate the drift (as this crew are doing) and take it away!!

Aye - well, thankyou very much, Wensleydale. Here's a picture of Britain's crowded skies for you to have a go at.

"When we've perfected the revised separation requirements, then at the other end of the runway, the same number of planes will be landing in the gaps."
