Danny - I added "whatever it is" / quidquid id est to my quote. Seems appropriate.

This time you have gone too far. I know you regard my Mother as a bit fearsome, but three flamethrowers?

She does have some feelings, you know.

OK here is the plan. We need to get rid of their lordships “good idea” pronto, so when we do the air drop test tomorrow make sure the parachute doesn’t open, got it ?

"They've thought of that. Look at the huge crumple zone all around it."

...or indeed something to bolster the centre of the defence.....(Cheaper than getting Rio Ferdinand out of retirement).

The Committee is grateful to the team that submitted this entry for the New Military Vehicle competition; in particular we feel that the jet-powered tank could have a future if certain problems can be resolved, viz:
- effect of jet on following troops
- regrettable tendency to tip over to the left or right whenever the directional jets are activated.

"And children, don't forget to save up your toilet rolls for next week as on Blue Peter we will be making the ammunition."

Note: Blue Peter is the name of a BBC TV children's programme.

Lots of good entries runing from Dad's Army to the passing resemblance to Robbie the Robot, but the jury has voted for Traffic_Is_Er_was with "Well, we had a washtub, some roofing iron off the shed, and an old skid steer loader. After a dozen stubbies each, we had a great idea....."
The CST is in the courier....

Gee, didn't expect that. Thanks! Since I've had a go just recently, I shall decline with grace, and ask that you nominate an alternative captioneer? Let's spread the love! I'm sure Startrack can be redirected with the CST.

PS. If andytug is away for a while, I will nominate another within a day.
