Angry Admin Guru = Working Hard

Judging by some of his anti-RAF aircrew on recent threads I believe that Admin Guru has been reborn as WorkingHard, and should be treated with the same "respect".

Notice WorkingHard didn't pass comment on the "professional" civilian pilots who caused the abandonment of a Red Arrows display recently. Or perhaps the Red should do all their displays above 10000' (and below 250kts), and probably under Radar Control as well.

As if trotting out the "should have worked harder at school" line (which very arrogantly assumes everyone would rather be doing your job than their own) wasn't frivolous enough, why not go one better by quoting a melodramatic movie line.

Not admin guru I assure you. Thanks scud u like, nicely put. Far from having a down on RAF aircrew I believe the RAF trains the best pilots in the world- bar none. It is just such a pity the odd one slips through the net of quiet competence.
Deliverance - why should we not question your manner? It seems to me that the responses that have been elliceted from you suggests you have not read the questions let alone considered your reply. is this how you fly your a/c? I must say that is unlikely to be the case if you have undergone such rigorous training so why not look again at what was being said and asked?
Titan Locked - again you are wrong because I said they were utterly stupid in what they did and should be dealt with appropriately. The fact that I asked why the Reds were not warned by the appropriate radar unit (actually asking if it was common for them to get at least a RIS) somehow you have translated to a "down" on the RAF. Please tell us how that can be?
To repeat - we all share much of the same airspace and we need to be aware of each others m/o and cater accordingly. Don't take the seemingly prevalant attitude that everyone must give way to the RAF a/c. The start of the original thread was 250k below 10000 ft and really had nothing to do with the LLFJ operations except where they rose above the designated LL level.

Working Hard

Soz old chap - couldn't find any comment from yourself on the Red Arrows thread (the one started by Mr Draper on the Mil Forum) hence my barbed comment. Out of idle curiosity would you support a combined mandatory mil/civil low level notification scheme? The military already have one in place (low level booking cell etc, albeit it is by area rather than flight plan / exact route) bur unfortunately unless a civil pilot raises a CANP (which if I understand the banter is not compulsory) we have no idea where and when bug smashers may be around. This will of not course make a jot of differenec to those pilots who would fly illegally regardless but thankfully there are very few of those.

At the end of the day real incidents are mercifully few. I'm sure a few civil pilots (and mil pilots) have been scraed witless by another aircraft in close proximity but it does irritate somewhat when the military always appear to get the blame.

We both have our opinions - I guess never the two will meet.

Regards

TL

PS - the extract in the Jaguar/Cessna thread was a copy from another document, if you get my drift....!!

How long till the weekend??? It's been a long week already.

This professionalism stuff does cut both ways...my
aerodrome had the Red Arrows cut straight across
its circuit at circuit height +/- 500' with very little
notice to the controllers.

I was in the circuit at the time and had to take avoiding
action to get out of their way.

Was that good practice on the Reds part? Sometimes
the military get the blame because it actually is their
fault.

The way that some of you are responding to criticism
by bad-mouthing the people involved doesn't show
your case (which I appreciate has validity) in a good
light.

Don't go there Fox3 !

Admin Guru was a character a while back who seemed to rub people up the long way with comments that were not quite factually correct, to the extent that it seemed at times he knew so much to be able to play ignorant.

I guess that if he was a made up wind up merchant then he got lots of bites and must have had a laugh at those who got madder by each post

Last I heard he was looking for a branch change and while I can't claim to know him, I understand from someone who does know him that he's done very well out of it

It would be good to see him back, maybe he could let us know how he's getting on ?
