Yes I heard the same, I am just wondering if they will do the same in AJet... And I guess they get a bonus too to compensate for the money lost in that period of 6months?

No compensation for loss, never happened, house always wins.

A significant portion of the information being shared is inaccurate and unrealistic.

As a foreign pilot, you will likely have a salary of around $13K. The scheduling department will assign you rosters with domestic flights and extensive duty hours, while long flights are reserved for local pilots. The $18K figure applies to instructors and assumes the maximum number of legally allowed monthly flight hours.

This $18K also includes one-third of a quarterly bonus equivalent to one base salary (not two), as well as a fuel allowance for commuting to the airport. The company covers taxes and health insurance but does not provide accommodation.

Regarding home visits and crew scheduling—rostering will make sure your last duty before going home is a late-night flight, and your first duty upon return is an early morning departure.

As for everything else-finding an apartment, registering a mobile number, or commuting to work—best of luck!
Adding to what has been stated above, the family visas are also your own headache - Source : A THY pilot in my current airline.

THY salaries are regulated every 6 months according to the union agreement. For AJET I have no information but there is no union in AJET, that I know

Hello Scot320 - No sir. Just got a general overview of how things work in THY from a colleague who used to be with them.

It’s seems like they stopped recruiting on B737 even though the website is still advertising the position (DEC737)

In reality, the base salary is 328,000 TL for part-time and 428,000 TL for full-time.
But honestly, none of that matters when the lira has dropped 16% since the end of January.

Salary adjustments? They don't happen every six months—they happen only when management senses discontent among employees. And of course, adjustments are made using the official government rate, not the real one.

The very next day, you’ll see headlines shouting how much money pilots make—and right after that, your landlord will be calling to raise your rent.

I attended the assessment, 3 weeks ago.
The first this was the CRM, group exercise, discuss about the decision. After that some personal questions about behavior and your way of thinking 1 on 1 with HR.
Tehnical was type related, Memo items, abnormal procedures, FMA stuff. I got right 4 out of 5 and didnt pass.
The sim is like normal takeoff, engine fail, visual circut, raw data, as everywhere.
some of them are so friendly, some are demanding and strict.
You need to be lucky.

I was looking online to find anything a out the AJET selection process but could not find anything. Even latestpilotjobs.com Dosent seem to have anything about Ajet.

Can anyone who has attended the AJET assessment confirm if the have any reasoning or aptitude tests or pilot BAT tests for the assessment?

There is jot aptitude test or any other game.
First thing was group exercise where you have 45 minutes, first 20mins you read some text and then you discuss about the decision you had made and what alternate you chose. Then another 2 candidates join and all 4 of you again read and talk about letter what are you going to write down to announce to the passengers because you landed at the alternation.
After that you have the HR interview about yourself questions, what was the last time you were proactive, and initiative or you meet the deadline.
the tehnical interview were memory items, emergency proceudres, limitations. And for sim they give you the exercise. Some steep turns, EFATO, Rawdata and visual with bird. NO FD NO AP and manual thrust.

Hi Gadfree,

There are no aptitude or any form of verbal nor numerical reasoning tests. The sim and board interview are well covered in this thread. They are very pragmatic and I believe VERY focussed on the individual and CRM. Sure know how to define what kit you need for RVSM airspace etc. Expect a significant amount of behavioural questions. Nothing too deep IMO. Just common sense. Rista320 gives a very good summary.

Good luck.
