I'm suprised you managed to get a reply. I did my assessment a month ago and still no reply. I expect they're busy with more important things at the moment.

Are you guys delusional or something? in QR people are worried about layoffs and you think about joining. Maybe you all should watch more Al Jazeera.

You can ignore factual stuff and believe everything the overloards tell you filtered through the micro management levels, while ignoring all risks and detriments to your life - be it during a conflict or without. congratulations, you guys are hired starting this sunday.

Joining postponed

Hello everyone! Is there anyone else who was supposed to join in the month of March 2026 but got postponed due to the conflict? Would be nice to get in touch as I am sitting at home waiting indefinitely.

So you’d join knowing there is a war, aircrafts are grounded, pilots are not flying and possibly letting people go (again). I hope they do not call you, i am sorry, my opinion.

Imagine how terrible the place must be back home, that this person is genuinely considering a Job inside a Warzone.

Bit harsh!

They most likely interviewed a long time ago, handed in their notice 3months prior to joining date. Now find themselves without their previous job & no job to go to!

Obviously people will be fearing for their jobs in QR, but it doesn’t mean you should be glad people had their offer of employment rescinded/delayed

Thank you for understanding my situation. My notice period was six months, and I’ve been looking forward to this role immensely. My wife also recently stopped working, and we’re already packed and ready to relocate. While I’m confident things will normalize soon, I’d love to connect with others in a similar position. I’m hoping to get a sense of when inductions might resume and perhaps stay motivated together through study groups.

I sincerely hope things do normalise, but if I was you, I would plan for the worst & hope for the best

It's impossible to predict when things will normalize and, even when they do, I don't think the airline will resume the operations to pre-war levels in a short time. It will most likely take months to get back to what they were flying before the conflict started.

The reality is: they don't even know what they will be flying on the second half of April yet, so you can expect to wait for (at least) a couple of months at home until there's any sort of clarity about the future.
