Suggestion Required
Hi to all,
We live in India and my husband has been offered a jobwith Qatar Airways in IT related field with grade 8 position in Doha. He has anexperience of 15+ yrs in IT field in India, all with four very good companies.
His package includes basic 19,000 + upto 50,000(yearlyschool fees, at actuals) + free accommodation (furnished 2 or 3 bedroom apt) +health insurence
(other perks are like yearly return tickets to homecountry and unlimited 90% and 50% off tickets to any where with Qatar airways)
School fees is sufficient for us, as we have adaughter who will go to junior kg from the coming year and we plan to put herin Indian CBSE board school.
Please advice if this package is good for a personwith IT experience of 15+ yrs and how much can we save from this.
P.S.- Our expenses are very moderate and we don’tdrink, smoke etc, and no partying also.
Any suggestion is very much welcome as we do not havemuch idea on Qatar.

The figures you mention sound about right. The problem is if they don't give you accommodation and give you allowance to try and find your own accommodation. I suggest he asks that accommodation is def provided. Life is ok here and I am sure you will survive. We have lots of people from India working in our offices, so he will find it like home from home. Good luck for 2014

Thanks for replying. It seems that you are working inQatar Airways already. I have two questions (sorry for troubling you)
1. Do you think getting grad 8 (ITrelated job) with 15+ years ofexperience is ok or does he qualify for higher grade??
2. How much do you think we can savefrom this per month (just an idea) if housing, school, medical expense and yearly coming to home country is taken care of?
If anyone else also have answers or suggestions forme, please do mention them as we are in a big dilemma.
