Chicken and Egg?

"The abovementioned deficiencies were bound to yield evil and corrupt actions and practices."

Or, the evil and corrupt actions and practices were bound to yield the above-mentioned deficiencies.

Oh, dear. Maybe it's not true....
Hook, line, sinker....

I think it's about as true as Prestige getting several BBJs along with more Globals and some G-450's......

End Result

Indeed, KF! which ever way you look at it, it is bad. That is, in simple terms the contribution of PJ and its management to the industry.

Prestige Jet asking me to wait longer for my money

Received a request from PJ to pay on the installment plan. I have waited so long for the money owed to me, it has impacted many areas of my life. I just would like to have this chapter over. Pay the money owed to me and the other pilots and employees to whom you owe money.

Why doesn't someone just out these crooks to the press no matter who they are connected to!!?? There are so many avenues to do this anonymously, I just can't believe no one has managed to do it yet. These scummy people take advantage of good honest people who just want to make a decent living with a passion for an industry that PJ do a great job of ruining. Why they bother claiming to be anything is absurd. They give the Middle East a reputation that tarnishes everyone with the same brush. The sooner someone plucks up the courage to write to the press about their illegal antics, the sooner brokers will stay away and the sooner these cowboy will realise they are not so high and mighty and get closed down!

That Was Ironic, Right?

Contribution having quotation marks, as in "contribution", right?

How do you get someone to publish a story is a more appropriate question....

Remember the Focus

Our desire is to get sunnydolan, the other former employees who hold valid court judgments and current employees paid our salaries, expenses and dues - not to drive the company out of business. If, in the process of militating to get paid, we make the Chairman, Hamed Al Hamed, aware that his interests and reputation are being very poorly served by the Deebs, Alghareeb and their collaborators, so much the better. But our goal is to get our money, not to do Hamed or the world a favor in respect of Prestige Jet.

A Person with hundreds of millions

This organization claims they have 200 million in the bank. The Chairman is worth hundreds of millions. Yet they ask me if they can pay what they owe me on a 2 year installment plan. I am not the Nissan dealer.

You have knocked my socks off!! Is this serious that they have asked to pay the backlog of overdue salaries over two years!! It's scandalous. How many employees have received letters like this?

Typical Hypocrisy and Lies

This from the CEO who proudly proclaims that he receives no salary but somehow has a huge new multimillion-Dirham villa and seven new luxury vehicles while the tea boys, secretaries and other office staff get thrown out of their flats due to not being paid for three-four months at a time, repeatedly.

Apparently, salary is not the deal to take when joining Prestige Jet. Take "Door Number 2 - all you can steal" - that's the grand prize.

Many affected by this move

Dear H:
It appears that 4 pilots including myself are affected by this situation. I do not know the status of others that may have won Court cases. I sure do wish I was able to charge interest, I could double what is due to me.

Quick update on thread

It is rumored that the person in this situation was not able to attend the Ministry of Labour meeting. He was reluctant to enter the country.

Reference the first post

EX, this was in response to the first post by KF about a pilot who recently left the employment of PJ. These tactics are somewhat the same tactics used when you departed. Shameful.

I Don't Think the Chairman is the Victim

Ex-Terminator, I agree with what you state but I take issue with the characterization of the Chairman, whether Ghaith or Hamed, as being victims of the Deebs. These are very wealthy members of the Royal family who own the company - if they are being "screwed by Deeb", why do they not sack him, get their money back and bring him and his collaborators to justice (or throw them out of UAE)? No, the Chairmen are complicit, enablers and supporters of the behaviour of the management and are responsible for such - we, the employees - are the victims.

Back to the Title of the Thread

To expand upon sunnydolan's response, recall that this thread began as a discussion about Prestige Jet placing criminal charges accusing a good captain of stealing large sums of money, as response to his filing with Labour Ministry for assistance to receive his pay. We all know that, since the captain completed all assigned flights without fail, he obviously spent the money as instructed, on things like fuel, landing and handling fees, hotel, catering, etc. But management now accuses him of having stolen all the money they gave him.

The captain was informed that he will be placed under arrest for these "crimes" as soon as he attempts to enter UAE - where he lives. Since he has chosen not to test that assertion and therefore has remained outside of UAE he has, of course, not been able to attend the compulsory mediation session which is the next step in Labour Ministry steps to resolve the issue. If the compulsory Labour Ministry mediation attempt does not resolve the dispute, Labour Ministry then authorizes the employee to go to the Labour Court for redress.

As Prestige Jet has lost every case presented to the Court by its employees and former employees this, then, is their new technique for preventing the case from getting to the Court: place bogus criminal charges against the employee, ensure that he does not appear and have the case dismissed due to the failure to appear.

Meanwhile, all of those who have judgments have not collected a single Fil, as the company simply ignores the orders of the Court and its officers - with Chairman Hamed's backing.

A Warning to All of Us

It is really disgusting, this behaviour. One would hope that the Royal family would be unhappy with the way this company, with a member of the Royal family as its Chairman, is demonstrating such disrespect to the Royal family and its institutions - such as the company's consistent and unwavering flouting of judgments and orders given by the Courts - but it appears that, in this case, nothing is being done to enforce the legal constructs of the Government of Abu Dhabi.

Contrast that with the abuse of Government power being heaped upon an employee attempting to assert his right to be paid his salary (covered separately in the thread "Prestige Jet - Do Your Job, Go to Jail") and one is given a very poor image of Abu Dhabi "justice" as meted out by the Royal family and the Government. Very disappointing, indeed - and a warning to all of us.
