Ppjn website mentions a 30 point pay scale (for capt anyway).

I know they use the provident fund towards rewarding long service.

A 3% increment is normally paid. I say normally paid as we have had occasions where no increment was paid to pilots. There are 30 steps to the pay scale. It starts with year 1 FO, and moves up in 3% increments. When you get a command, you move 10 steps up the pay scale. Hope that makes sense.
There are plenty of restrictions on leave. FOs tend to fair better than captains in this respect.
I believe the latest stats are that 70% of all night turn around flights are flown by the Boeing at the moment. But, there are plenty of Boeing pilots to share these around with so shouldn't be too bad. The number of turns will increase with 330/340 retirement, but still lots of Boeing pilots to fill these gaps, so I would guess it wouldn't get as bad as the 330 roster of recent years.

So there are 59 X 3% increments? How often is an increment gained on average? Because no one has a 59 year or even 49 (taking into account the 10 for command) year career. Is the 3% on year 1 base salary or previous increment salary?

Are night stops typically 24 hours? Are any longer/shorter?

Thanks in advance.

You are totally correct. Seems I am crap at multi tasking. There are 30 steps.

Amsterdam or Dubai

Hi everyone. Got an invite for an interview in November with EK. FO position. Does anyone know which simulator is being used for the sim assessment?

It depends on the sim location:

Amsterdam: 737 or 320

Dubai: 777

Preparation software

Have anybody come across a software/webpage etc. that helps to prepare for the selection process at Emirates?

Just got an interview date in DXB. NOt sure wether to go or not. Too long time till the upgrade 10-12 y. I think Qatar or even Etihad will be sooner if I go DEC 320 TRE Even China offers DEC on 330 as NTR PIC.
11000 t.t. 8000 PIC, almost 6000 jet PIC 737 and A320

I'm Boeing. Heard they phased out the a310 sim. So is it most likely 777? Anyone else got an invite for FO selection in November?

Hi louthgirl. You referring to FO selection? So whether the candidates were Boeing or airbus, everyone did the assessment on the A330? Just to clarify. I got an interview in nov and I'm Boeing. Grateful for any bro/updates... Thanks

Louthgirl, our sim was on the 320, over a week ago, no response for us. How come you've heard on the day? - they said it'd be two weeks.

I may be wrong, but I think Louthgirl and her mates cleared the sim part, the rest of the interview process to be done. Even if the whole process is completed, there is no way you get a yes from EK on the same day. It just does not work like that.
Edited tosay, you get feedback from the Sim, but the rest of the interview process as no feed back

Today's (Day 1's) result... 2/7 cleared. All airbus guys got assessed on the 330 & 777 sims

Info just out for guys wanting to know what sim it will be on. Don't think 320 at all...

How peculiar - we did it on the 320 in AMS and were told it'd be 2 weeks to hear back on the result.

latestpilot, elite and skytest

Hi guys!

got a call 2 weeks back for PSP in September, would appreciate some advise from those of you who have used these prep tools: I already have latestpilot and it looks good, but shud it be used in conjunction with skytest or elite???considering elite is about USD 600 plus!!!!!

Also those of you who have attended or are going to...how much time before the actual dates did they get your visa done??as I haven't heard from them after submitting my papers!

Thanx
