Guru8904: Thank you so much for blessing all of us with such wisdom! However, you left out many other profound quotes from the Koran such as:
"Young Conan...What is best in life?
To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women. Al-Taubah 9:16
"Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that two stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Crom... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you! Al-Taubah 9:17

You are welcome. Please stop quoting verses from anywhere and everywhere. I do not know what is your source of info but it is planets away from the wordings of the Holy book of Islam. There are various websites available for authentic translations of the Quran in different languages. Please go to
Tanzil : Quran Navigator
and read the correct version of Al-Taubah 9:16 and Al-Taubah 9:17 before you post something from the Quran.

Guys, your futile Quran translation dispute just mirrors the one of the initial thread (you can stop it now, it leads nowhere).
Reading the Gulfnews today gives a different interpretation of the UAE/Canadian airspace incident, for example.
Just demonstrates that you can look at a camel from different sides. Even if you ride it there's two perspectives ....
I'd like some enlightened soul to post the genuine definition of free trade and open skies. I read so many, I lost the capability to tell which ones the genuine one .....

Thanks for the info. The quotes I gave came from the "discussion" section of one of Canada's national newspapers. I was a bit suspicious as to the the context/interpretation of the discussion and appreciate your reply.
Thanks again.

I think he was trying to say that we should be glad the country is full of lazy incompetants and that we are lucky to be here. And that if the UAE wants to act like a spoiled child and the world is laughing at them, it's non of our business. Just take the cash and RUN...........................

I.......AM.......Canidian !
Do they have an english test in EY ?
I hope the UAE gov't stays away from the airline business and let EK handle their own expansion issues. When the UAE gov't steps in, things seem to get badly mis-handled. Time for a re-group, some quiet time, and EK is best served to try a different angle.
