Finally some good news at Emirates.

Ed the Talking Horse is leaving us!
Did he jump or was he pushed?
What a loss to the company - how will we ever recover?
Please express your thanks to Ed here :

Personally I thought he was just a bit of a plonker, a bit harmless really, it's TCAS and TCAR that we need to get rid of

Hey - lets not look a 'gift horse' in the mouth! In fact - lets all applaud and be wary of his ar$e on the way out!

1 down, 2 to go!

Ed and TCAS are AAR's Monkeys, doing his dirty work.

The horse is not leaving until March next year, and the funny bit is TCAS asks in his e-mail for "Our continued support". He must be turning into a comedian habibis I can't remember anyone, "on the line" saying anything nice about ED

I don't see this as any particular cause for celebration:

In my time here (somewhere between five and 12 years) arguably no one has EVER been replaced by someone from within the company whom we know.

And no one has EVER been replaced by someone better than what we had before.

Or am I being picky?

Pretty quick to jump the gun on the "good news". The devil you know.....You think he will be replaced by someone who truely is an advocate for the pilots? Hey maybe we will be lucky and he will be replaced by the EGT. If you have been in the airline biz for more than a decade or two, you should realize "new blood" is more often than not worse. Time will tell.

no changes....

As many others already said it I don't see big changes having Ed out.....

He is not the problem and TCAS as well is not the problem ....they are just muppets......

The only change will be if people will not join and many will leave......

This is how it works in this part of the world ........

I formally submit my application as "Yes, Man/ A$$ kisser." I have years of experience as an F/O. I'm extremely qualified at such things as: asking if it's okay to use the toilet, taking the chicken when I really want the beef, watching you sleep all night while the sun rises over India and burns into my skull, taking the fat chic, laughing at the same jokes you told me yesterday and most of all acting like I'm listening to your quality advice on the progress of my continuous descent.

His point was perfectly obvious.

Almost everyone appears as a "boss" to someone else.

Oh I'm sorry dude I didn't know there was a point of pprune. My mistake I'm sorry to waste your time sir. I just assumed that men who gather around the old gossip page here really were wasting time. My mistake for not realizing that this site is here to seriously contemplate life's challenges. Well, lets get back to something more serious like talking $hit about Ed, Alan and all the other guys whom you all foolishly like to name by initials as if anyone actually cares. Please ladies my apologies let's get back to solving the worlds problems on this forum. Sorry for wasting your precious valuable time. I'm sure I'm taking you away from feeding starving children or your habitat for humanity work. My apologies you can have the beef, sir I like the chicken best.

Really worried now

TCMT, did someone try to touch your Trinty in the cockpit or what? Lighten up dude !!! I'm sure it's nothing a double scotch wont cure.

About ED, I don't think its cause for celebration. don't think so at all.
After all is said and done, think I would rather have ED in that position
than another ignorant, arrogant AAR. At least with ED, you know he's talking crap, and really would like to perhaps do something different, -
like actually help you, but allas, he can't. It's not coming from him, but from someone higher up.

If they have there way now, the next one to fill that post will be positively sadistic in there approach (no pun intended) to dealing with the pilots. Hey, maybe ED just got fed up of the bull$hit flowing downhill and had to much integrity to stay here and take it !!

Just my humble opinion.

His successor may be no better - but in my own experience Mr. Ed is arrogant, confrontational and a blatant ar*e licking liar. Good riddance...........

The Horse's departure is a "cost-neutral" event for the pilots.

It will be replaced by a Service Monkey that has been well trained in the limits ("protections" for Airbus drivers) of its cage.

Two things can happen:
1. The Service Monkey, like the Horse, gets tired of the service and escapes the cage.
2. The Service Monkey does not obey the owner ("Criminal negligence") and gets replaced by a Hunting Falcon.

Unless the whole stable is replaced, top to bottom, the pilots will continue as filed.

The best post is the one that said that Mr. Ed (He doesn't deserve to be called Captain) "wanted to do something different".

Mr. Ed never wanted to do anything different. Hey, he couldn't write an FCI!!! Give me a break!!

He was a disgrace and regardless of who will replace him, it's great to see this @##$%$ leaving the company. I hope he will not use EK services to fly back home.

Of course you know the next guy will come in as a VP, he will then have to demonstrate an unerring willingness to sha*t the pilots, to get promoted to SVP. So every change of person just accelerates the downward spiral of our T&C's, depressing isn't it.

Maybe Kev, will come back
