Someone from QR can till me what the situation on the 320 looks like? Short of pilots or a lot of people swimming in the pool at the moment?
Rosters ok? Considering leaving my gig in Europe for some ME action...

cheers

For all of you waiting for an opening at QR, be aware of the impact of EASA FTLs that were adopted on 1/1. I have for many years praised the developmemt of QR over the past seven years, but the lifestyle impact of the new FTLs are disastrous.

There is no minimum days off requirement anymore. The only requirement is 2 consecutive days off, twice a month. The rest of the month, the only requirememt is 36 hours off every 7 days. For example, if you have requested the first 4 days of the month off, that now fulfills the requirememt for 2 consecutive days off twice a month. The rest of that month you will work 6 on 1 off. Guaranteed.

If you have family in Doha, you will not see them. If you are single, all regular errands need to be done on that single day off (unless it’s the weekend, when nothing is open). You will not have a social life because all your friends are working a similar roster, and you will be too exhausted to do anything but try to recover on your single day off.

You will have patterns involving a 2-3-day trip, followed by minimum rest in Doha (that’s 12 hours to catch up with your wife and kids) do another 2-3-day trip, followed by the single day off. Repeat. Landing at 5AM and reporting again at midnight? EASA says you’re good to go. Happy wife, happy life?

Be aware, the EASA FTLs are a target for rostering and a lifestyle disaster for the crew. A real shame, as the company had developed into a very good employer.

Finally some true around, not apple polishers and company's social media staff posting here. But you're rushing your opinion mate : according one inop here, you need to wait a few months ( or even years) to feel the impact of the QEASA regulation on our lifes.... And btw, this regulation is not even close of the EASA FCL...

Hello Guys,

I hope all is doing well... besides the busy scheds of course.

Can anyone share informations, how much does a widebody Capt. earns on a lean month and a busy month. Lean month, if there is any.
And for the kids education, up to what age do they provide? Do pilots get a Retirement benefit upon reaching Mandatory retirement age?

Thank you in Advance, You can also PM if you want to. Safe flight Guys !

the end of service is based on 3 weeks for the first 4 years in the company and then increase to 4 weeks of your basic salary and it is calculated from your last basic salary
the ISP it is optional to join as fas as I know.
you pay 5 , 10 or 15 % of your basic monthly and the company contribute with 10% monthly
the way I see it for new joiners ISP is better but for seniors guys the end of service is better anyway by the end of your employment you will get the ISP or End of service which ever is greater
and you will get 100% of what you paid in the ISP so it is a good saving plan .

You don't need all the logbook pages stamped.

The first 3 and the last 3 pages should suffice.

Unfortunately not enough. As previously stated you need All pages signed and stamped if it's electronic. The only alternative is to have a certificate of the hours by the appropriate CAA.

edit: Iīm checking currently with IAA .. thatīs my previous CAA , I let you know whatīs their procedure are.

Hello
You can expect Ghanem Residence (along Salwa Road), Al Kaabi (somewhere in Abu Hammour), or maybe Holiday Villa. For now, i think all new joiners will be at company accommodation. If u prefer the housing allowance, you can only apply for it after joining. Hope this helps

Profet,

Is QR flexible with the Date of joining ? if one has to serve notice period to current employer, will QR offer possible joining dates appropriate to your last day of service ?

Thanks,
Dc

Blinder,

I just did my skype interview, end of Feb. Exactly 7 days after I got a new email giving access to ONboarding Zone to complete the information sheet pending Interview(DOHA). Are you in this stage as well? Have you filled up this online Form?

QR will respect the notice period you notified them during your interview. In my case they offer me just one DOJ but according to my notice period. So, it worked for me.
