@NewDay
things have now tighten-up in india 4-5 people with fake license are behind the bars(even the high profile people rooted to politics )

the Directorate general of Civil aviation [DGCA] have done a good job by verifying each and every documents and have completed it so "newday" please dont worry.

4-5 people behind the bars..doesn't mean the problem is solved,
unless you can prove today that those 4-5 people are an isolated case and are not the tip of an iceberg?

loc22550,

I have a simple question for you regarding the position as a F/O on the A320, will you accept the offer if you have already a job but only for one year, I mean I understand that it's very difficult for A320 pilots in Qatar but if it's the only option will you take it assuming that maybe in the futur your situation will improve ?

Thanks

Indian corruption is not the past.It is still going on. Their style is like this:
Pilot A is on standby today afternoon, and tomorrow morning he is rostered for 3-4 days trip with 10-15 hrs block. But sudenly, sombody call him today to operate turnarround trip to Dubai or else,in this region. And what happens: He can not operate his trip tomorow due to rest time.
What do you think , who will operate his trip tomorrow?

""do no take too seriously complaints regarding a-320 schedule..""..oops...
What a non-sense post!
Anyway just for your info newday:
" A-320 schedule is a serious issue and we can't continue to loose pilots because of roster and lifestyle issue here"
This is NOT my words but the A-320 F.M. words..and i'm sure he is doing his best to improve the situtation...does he have the choice..?
Share your secret if you have to have a fair and balanced roster on the 320 fleet.!!!

Yes indeed Menikos i will take the Q.R. option in your case, for the time being.
BUT depending on your rating and experience, just keep in mind as well that there are definitely better options(..and conditions!!!) for F/O(and cp) in the gulf area ..: EK,EY,AA...
Cheers.

Chief Pilot Executive Fleet at Qatar

Any information on the Chief Pilot position in the Executive Fleet? Are they really looking or is the job already pre-picked?

What happened to the last guy?

That´s what QR is - the last option.
The conditions here will never change, at least it hasnt for the past four years, including the salary.

There is no secret.I have a few friends(Captains) A320 and they are inteligent enough to understand the way QA operate.Late evening/early morning departures/arrival -everybody knows why.
They understand they will not stay forever on A320 due to huge numbers of 777,350 on order. They do not plan to leave!
Pilots who can not cope with that kind of schedule leave. And so what?
Somebody who has energy and positive thinking, willing to work hard and patience, will join.Good for QA! I only want to encourage this kind of pilots to come, they will be happy.

PS. As long as schedule is legal according CAA, I do not see reason for complain.I know some airlines use pilots much more and some operates contrary to CAA duty time regulations!

Hello,

back to the A320, what is the career plan in QA for those assigned to that plane are you stuck on the airbus or regarding your experience you can move on the Boeing specially with B777 & B787 coming, because if it's a matter of time I understand that it might be difficult to fly the A320 instead of A330 or B777 but maybe after few years and seniority you can expect a better position.

Thanks for your inputs

Well if the rate of resignation amongst junior guys continues like that on the 320 fleet, the poor senior guys on the top of the list (instructor or not) will be stuck forever on 320!
