Com'on James..so many actions happening here, you won't regret your move!
Apparently some of C.C. can't really wait till the next salary increase..Any news for example about some of our "5 stars" cheap Moroccan C.C. who try to run a prostittution business here in doha...?
Even the CEO seems to be a little bit irritated...

Hi can anybody give me an idea of monthly pay including flight allowances/hotac for 777 and 330. Is there an annual salary increment? Many thanks.

Again..
JamieBoy:
1-Salary :you can count on...10.000+..U$/month on 330/777 + accomodation.
We a have indeed a "generous" annual increment of 3% on the basic only(wich means around..250..U$) AND for the first 5 years ONLY in your respective grade.
2- End of service Benefit : 3 weeks of your last monthly basic salary for each year of service, becoming 4 weeks after 5 years of service.
To make it simple if you stay here for 10 years: you will get around ...70.000U$ as gratuity.
3-NO pension.
4-If you home currency is not the U$ you will always be exposed to the volatility of the exchange rate market ( as the Q.R is peg to the U$).
5-Worthless to mention Qatar Airways ERP, and the ONE WEEK bonus i got after almost a ...decade here!!!
Just make your math.
hope it helps.

Not sure the annual increase is a qatari law..
The gratuity of 3 weeks basic salary/year of service IS a qatari law and is a MINIMUM entitlement under wich Company can't go .

is 2500 jet enough to get them interested in interviewing for an FO position? do pilots have to go on the A320 as new hires or are there other options like Cargo/a340/a330 SO/FO. I would much prefer an fo spot on the Cargo side.

Accom

Maybe someone can update me on the accomodation at qatar Airways.
Last i heard was that an FO Single or married was getting an apartment 2-3 bedroom, and only Captains were getting villas...

what is the choice in apartments , are they still giving the holiday villa apartments ?

On average what does a 320 F/O take home.?..if you have kids do you get a villa or an apartment?...At what age does the education allowance kick in? How much is it and does it cover the cost of schools...will they pay for kids educated outside of qatar?

Thanks in advance

JJ

PS Any idea of how long for an upgrade?

"Negative on pilots figure"...
Don't be so negative FFR...
Q.R is just a little bit desperated ..so now they Re-hire pilots who have been terminated or have been asked to resign recently...interesting.

Jetjockey:
-F/O are given appartment (NO villa)
-Education allowance from age of 4 till 21. They do cover for school outside Qatar.
Education is cover up to a Maximum of 50.000QR/year (13.700U$)regardless of the amount of kids you have. This amount will be barely enough to cover the education of ONE kid in a decent international school in DOHA!

Devil

FO average monthly with 60hrs block time get pay 7000usd but your duty hour will be 140-150hrs
Housing, Apartment for FO
Education allowance starting 4 yr old and 50000QR per yr ( max ) and will pay you even if they study outside of Qatar
Upgrade it take 6 yr minimum and during this period if you have any caution or warning letter, you can forget it.
Hope those answer will help you.

Just a question with regard to the previous few posts. My son is in his last two years doing his GCSE's. If he wanted to stay in the UK studying would Qatar still pay the education allowance? Many thanks for any information.

Anyone who had been in Doha for interview recently can give me some informations please?

2 - Sim: only raw data ils or any ecam is expected? Is it in Doha? which aircraft is more likely to be used?
3 - Anything else you find important to share... I would appreciate that!

well you obviously must do something (nearly anything) to get a warning letter, but it's not always deserving, its completely open to personal opinion wether you get one or not. and if your a FO it affects allot with your career in the airline. Even if you have completed the upgrade interview and jump thru all the training hoops… then get a warning letter and it's all over. thats just the way it is. learn to live with it, learn to deal with it, or don't come here because it's not going to change anytime soon.
