Professionalism
Hello IB,
I normally dont write much but sometimes I really feel it is necessary. First of all I understand you are a very senior GF`s Captain. Let me tell you that I respect all the guys like you for your history in aviation, specially because today we have everything to help us; GPS, ILS everywhere, resources that you guys didnt have so you used to work out all by yourselves.
Having said that I agree with LNB our background is not relevant once GF has recruited us knowing and accepting it. Anyway I dont mind to say that when I joinned GF I was current and had thousands of hours in the 320, I was not unemployed, I had my seniority for command, I had both public and private pension fund(airline scheme),etc.... Basically I have opted to leave my country with my family and start a new career over here. I clearly asked during the assesment and directly to the hofo if there would be more DEs, they both said NO and I based my decision on it, giving credit to GF in a moment that almost everybody in the world thought GF was going to its end.
Fair enough if the airline is downsizing or not promoting for other reasons, thats a normal risk when you are in a line waiting for your time. It is not the case here. I dont want to bypass anybody in the line, just want the airline to follow it. I dont mind to fly 110 hours every month if it is needed to allow my senior colleagues to be promoted or transfered. I JUST DONT BUY THE REASONS(EXCUSES) FOR DE330 AND DECs.
So here I am. I have never had any problems in the training, never been late, never been sick!!!! I am doing what GF expects from me, why cant I expect fairness?!!!GF expects the same high level of professionalism from both me and you so we also have the right to expect the same level from then, dont you agree? Thats all from now. Hope we fly together in the future. Cheers.
P.S.- Sorry for any spelling error. I am downroute without a dictionary.

Ray...
Or any other kinds of the fine choices available over here...most go with anything! (Jetskiing today! that should take about a "toofore") Many thanks...
As for the topic at hand, tell these guys to look carefully at the ME as a whole, see what the story is at the "other airlines" and then apply it to what they know about GF...see any similarities? Hmmmm...
Say hello to IB and fly safe!

To Bird Dog,
In my contract it clearly states that I shall be employed on the A320 for 3 years.
Perhaps yours reads differently.
Aviation is full of dissapointments and if this is your first then so be it.
Stop sounding like a wounded angel.
As others have said here if you dont like it then throw the towel in.
GF fill their pilot positions where they are needed. Yes I think this is a bit myopic but it appears this is how it is done.
If you wish to change their corporate philosophy then your wearing the wrong clothes.

Hello VC,
1-The only reason I posted was to make it clear to IB there are FOs that came to GF with experience, not only the ones with low hours/Tprop experience.
2- My contract is diferent than yours. Maybe thats because you came here with a training bond and no Airbus experience at all.
3- I have been in aviation since 1992, many dissapointments, of course, but this is a forum where we can share other colleagues opinions.
4- Were u type rated before came to GF? Do you have a family behind you? If your answers are no, I totally understand why you misinterpreted my post.

at the end of the day, GF is going to attempt the most cost effective method, and hiring a 320 replacement, then thrng the 320 crew is a bit over taxing to the trng dept...ek hiring dec's around highly experienced f.o.'s (with seniority) so the trend continues...dont expect a lot of sympathy here
