GF Duty Plans

Hello everybody,

I wonder if there are any GF guys out there who could answer me a question about the duty plans. I have just commenced the GF assessment and it seems that I have made it. Up to now nobody could tell me on which type they want me. And I wonder how the rostering on the A320 is in comparison to the A330. Are there many overnights on the 330? And is it true that you have nearly no overnights on the 320?

Thank you for your help... I am looking forward to meet you guys soon..

There was a post a while ago with a lenghty discussion about rostering. Try on advanced search for:
Gulf Air 320 Rostering!!!!

Scheduled 320 nightstops are done in:
Cochin, Bangalore, Muscat, Auh and Dubai (splendid hotel).

330
London, London, London.....J'Burg, Dublin, DeliDeli,CDG and so on....

As for which type, who knows, you might parachute on the 330 like so many others....

Good luck,
LNB

C'mon now Ldg No Blue. I know there is sometimes a place for dark humour but wannabes are unable to separate the wheat from the chaff.

The Dubai hotel doubles as a brothel for mostly Arab guests. Some of cabin crew have told me about being followed by thobe-attired hall-cruisers . It is internally refered to by crews as "the Psychiatric Hospital," probably the worst of all properties that A-320 crews stay at. The rooms, while clean, have a distinct odor that leaves me with a sore throat by morning wake-up call. It's prime location in front of the Iranian school for boys, as well as being miles away from anything interesting, could leave anybody with a misguided impression of what Dubai really has to offer.

As for the other layover destinations, all nice hotels, with Cochin being the sweetest plum of them all.

The 767 has day trips to Khartoum, Amman, Damascus, Jeddah, Riyadh, Kuwait, Doha, Athens, Bombay....night stops in Kathmandu (also some turn arounds) Dhaka, Trivandrum, Bangkok (seasonal) Jakarta, Delhi, (seasonal) Kuala Lampur, (seasonal) and lost of nights in Muscat positioning or resting between blocks...you will have any combination of these on your roster you may make one request per month..you probably will recieve it on your block..maybe not...

330 is the best fleet so far if u fly single type. If it is a mix type (probably it will be after 6 to 8 months it is a too much job but no way u can compare the load with 320s. That poor guys are doing realy hard work due to stupid planning of recruitment and rostering. If u go to 320 be ready for the hell. Keep smilin.

Thank you guys for your replies and for answering my questions.I know and understand that many of the 320 drivers are upset about the direct entries on the 330. However the 320 would be okay for me even when it means hell...

Looking forward to see you...
