I believe they do. EAS in Dubai has mostly South Asian instructors. I doubt there are any local instructors at EAS.

Having enquired about prices I would say they are way out! Most European organisations like CABAIR etc, give better prices all inclusive doing courses in the US or you can go to Australia and still do it cheaper and do your tests back in your own european JAA state.

As for weather, having flown in the middle east region for many years I would say flying training is not the ideal aviation business for that part of the world....HAZE (that reads V poor Vis) and i mean alot of it!!!!!!

As for JAR/EASA approval, unlikely as it's nothing to do with Europe.....miracles do happen and I suppose Arab money may well talk

But good luck to them and I would say they will need alot of expat instructors, especially western/european to make such a project work and get the standards right........middle east/asia is way off the mark on standardisation

Apparently all the Instructors are European Origin, and as for the cost, I looked at the other options, and the fact that the course includes Accomodation and Food all inclusive, plus MCC etc it worked out about the same as Europe, and don't have to go away from home. GCAA has said it is to standardise all the flight tests in line with Europe. As for Haze, well how bad can it get compared with months of rain and heavy crosswinds....

It greats pretty hazy in the summer due to the Shamal winds which blow up dust, etc. However, it is nice and clear in the winter months ( November - February ) so winter is probably the best time to go for training
