Yuva Bhatia of Qatar Airways

Yuva (former CSD and most recently Cabin Crew Training Instructor at Qatar Airlines), also formerly of Gulf Air, sadly passed away this morning. She suffered a heart attack.

Condolences. Many readers and visitors to this forum will have known her and flown with her.

She was a lovely lady, full of energy and enthusiasm for the job. I am sure everyone you knew her will understand when I say that she was a whirlwind in the cabin.

RIP.

Akbar doesnt learn.he has no top!

Those who were there when David sanchez died may remember.only Mark Turner was running about, organaizing everything for the funaral,on company's part.

AAB did nothing then. and would do nothing now and in the future.

May YB rest in peace

and

May AAB go to hell.

BKK Layover,

Yes mate, I remember all too well. I was a pallbearer for young David.

Akbar did nothing at all.

It was Mark, Sandra and the CSDs (myself, Adel and few others) then there were people from ops and crewing and the crew at the reception afterwards comforting his mother.

Akbar was too busy worrying about who was reporting sick for flights!

I was away when I heard about Yuva last week.
Very sad to hear it. She was my PM in QR and I had the pleasure of flying with her numourous times and even had her as a passenger to LHR when she was heading away to the US on holidays and it was a pleasure having someone who worked for the company that was able to chat to you with out fear of being a "hinderance"!!!
She was a lovely person and one of the few people who made working for QR bearable!
RIP Yuva from myself and the now almost all gone Irish contingency.

p.s....is it true the circumstances in which she died were as awful as Iv been hearing in that the crew were really treated badly?

Unhappy

Dear All,

I have learned with sadness that Yuva passed away.

I also flew with her, nice lady, nice person.

Poor woman, who knows what pressure she did, suffered to have a hearth attack.

I just hope that, from now on, the non-believers have learned something reading this thread, and realize how bad are the working conditions at QR .

AAB does not care, he never will care about anybody.

Crew have to work as slaves on this company, specially the cabin crew who are worked to exhaustion.

AAB and his followers have created an atmosphere of fear insecurity and betrayal on this company.

In addition, he has the guts to appear on CNN acting as a great entrepreneur and the person with a vision in the command of the fastest growing airline in the planet.

Well, If somebody very rich and blind gives me his check book , I am sure I could go out and “make the fastest growing airline “ easily , it is just a matter of cash ,not competence .

My condolences to Yuva’s family.

Unhappy we Lost the great friend ....... and nice human being

It is with extreme grief to write about that great lady who is not amongst us today but she will always be present in our hearts and will be lovingly remembered. She was kind of a person who always make her presence felt and never let anyone get bored in her company.

I know how devastated her family is and just pray that the departed soul rest in peace and the family get the courage to bear this great loss.

Deepest condolences for the grieved family!!

It's hard to believe that more than a year has passed now since Yuva's sudden death. Gone but not forgotten!!

Wonder what she thinks of the hideous liveries displayed on A7-AED and A7-AFP.............probably looking down and rolling her eyes in disbelief! Yuva was something of a traditionalist, I think.

We still miss you Yuva.

Angel Hope shes's happier

I have flown with Yuva many times. She was a wonderful person to work with. Always so energetic and enthusiastic. She once caught me making a a mistake, but she was just let it slide and told me to learn from it. She use to tell people in our flights that I was one of the best galley operators in the economy section. She once removed me froma double sector flight(because I was an hour early for sign in) and we flew to Khartoum together, that was an easy flight. Its so sad that she's gone. Yuva is QR's lost.

Qatar airways should learn to value their hard working crew, they shouldnt waste all the potential that they have. Because the airline has all the monetary resources. I was with them for two years. I was always unhappy and always scared. But I did my best to cope and I managed to survive .Only my friends gave me strenght, but of course when the boys accomodation curfew started. I lost my support system(my female friends). I still have bad dreams somtimes about AAB and QR. I may not be making a lot of money anymore here in my country but I am happy, relaxed and free .

To all the QR crew, my prayers are with you guys.
