canaloplasty/surfer's ear

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone out there had a canaloplasty done to cure the surfer's ear problem.

How long were you grounded for? Any earing loss after the intervention?

P.S: Surfer's ear: bone growth in the ear canal after long exposure to cold water, can lead to earing loss as the ear canal shrinks.

Thanks.

Sorry, don't have experience of surgery, but I belive shaped plugs can be used as a preventative measure.
