canaloplasty/surfer's ear

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone out there had a canaloplasty done to cure the surfer's ear problem.

How long were you grounded for? Any earing loss after the intervention?

P.S: Surfer's ear: bone growth in the ear canal after long exposure to cold water, can lead to earing loss as the ear canal shrinks.

Thanks.

Can lead to dropped 'aitches' (H) too by the looks of it.
Frightening!:}

Had both ears cleared by surgery. No problems anymore.

Sorry, don't have experience of surgery, but I belive shaped plugs can be used as a preventative measure.
