FOT Airbus
Applicabile sull'intera flotta
SUBJECT: ATA 27 - STALL RECOVERY PROCEDURE
CLASSIFICATION: AIRWORTHINESS
AFFECTED AIRCRAFT: This FOT is applicable to all Airbus aircraft
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Notice: This FOT covers an operational issue.
It is the Operators' responsibility to distribute this FOT
or the information contained in this FOT to all flight crews
without delay.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
1. PURPOSE
Recent industry events have drawn attention to the importance of appropriate pilot reaction
in the case of stall.
This FOT informs all Airbus aircraft operators of the publication of a temporary revision (TR)
to modify the stall recovery procedure.
2. DESCRIPTION
Reduction of the angle of attack must be the first immediate action upon stall recognition
(aural stall warning, buffet,_).
Therefore a nose down pitch order must be applied.
When stall indications have stopped, the flight crew can smoothly increase the thrust as
needed to increase the energy and recover the initial flight path.
Minimizing the loss of altitude is secondary to the reduction of the angle of attack.
This procedure is a memory item.

Definizioni da Airbus reference language (estratto).
AOT -
FOT -
I miei 2 cents.
Alcune degradazioni e/o avarie possono portare il sistema a farti volare in "alternate law", "direct law" o addirittura in "mechanical back up".
AOT -
An AOT is used to launch very urgent action which is required to be taken by
the Operators concerned due to an event/finding which has implication on the
airworthiness of the affected Airbus aircraft or due to an event which has
serious operational impact. The action is to be performed within a few days or
a few weeks from receipt of the AOT. For such cases, the AOT is the fastest
possible means of communication.

Where an AOT may have a repercussion on flight operations, the Flight
Operations department of the Operator is addressed by means of a Flight
Operations Telex (FOT).

Ma non erano "installabili" gli Airbus ??

Salve o Popolo d'Eroi...
Saluti e grazie in anticipo

I had brief contact through email with the pilot of AlItalia who was an eyewitness of the crash in Tripoli. He posted a message on what he saw on the forum of anpac.it.
