Minimum Qualifications
Is there a minimum academic qualification level to be accepted?Or does it go on your flight training results?

Do you have a choice whether you go airbus or Boeing on the AQC?

The site does not stipulate any academic requirements but im sure someone who has applied could shed abit more light on the matter.
On the date of application you must be aged between 19 years and 34 years (within 3 months of your 34th birthday) • You must hold a United Kingdom CAA Full or Frozen ATPL, or a JAR-FCL Full or Frozen ATPL recognised by the UK CAA • You must hold a current UK CAA or JAA multi-engine Instrument Rating • Hold a current JAA Class 1 Medical • You must have a minimum of 100 hours PiC (this may be a combination of PiC and supervised Pilot on Command – SPiC) in order to meet the JAR FCL requirement for a first type rating for a multi-pilot aeroplane • You must be fluent in English (verbal and written) • You must have the right of abode, and right to work, in the EU in your own right (i.e. not by right of marriage only) • You must be able to produce a CRC (Criminal Records Check) Basic Disclosure Certificate (required before training can commence) |
Did anyone else wait a week or so to hear good news with an invite to stage 2?

Hey, i must have been lucky as i got my reply within 48 hours, but i was gutted as it was "thanks but no thanks". Maybe thats why it was so quick as it was crap. Any one here want to shed some light on how they answered the questions, or send over what they put, i am just currious where i went wrong. I am going to go with Cabair now, but want to put my at rest where CTC is concerned. I must admit, i dont think the CTC scheme can be beat. Good luck to all applying though.

Mixed replies it seems, this threads for the CTC ATP scheme not the cadets wing one for beginners, the ATP is for qualified pilots. :ok:

No choice on my course. There seems to be 6 x Airbus and 10 x B737-700 on each AQC. Since the Cadets are pre-assigned to airlines they will be put on whatever type they will eventually end up on. ATP entry guys will get what's left. Big_Mach Please let me know when you hear something. I'm currently sitting the AQC and I'm on the Boeing so I'm watching your progress closely. SW |

Bakoo I’m sorry to hear you didn’t get through. I just tried to be as honest as possible with the answers without to much of the 'what do I think they want to hear?' I just hope it’s what they want. If its not I’m off to do an FI rating and that’s no bad thing at all. which model of B737???
Hi guys, I´m gonna start the AQC in July and I would like to know which type of B737 do they use for the course, also if you have any suggestion, information or other type of stuff that you may think would be interesting to pass the AQC please post it or send my a private message. I heard today that there are 8 people in the hold pool. The cadets on my AQC are starting an Easy A319 TR on 26th June. If all 10 on this AQC get through that will leave 18 in the hold pool. (unless some of the 18 are also on the A319 TR) It was suggested that we (the 10 ATP'ers on this course) will probably be looking at end of August/early September for a type rating as priority will be given to the CTC Cadets. I very much doubt you'll find anyone from CTC responding to you on here. It's not an official channel of communication. I'd say you'd be better off trying to ring them and ask, but the web page suggests that this is discouraged as well.
There are a lot of people applying, and the line has to be drawn somewhere. If you're four years over, I wouldn't hold out much hope - if they make allowances for one, where do you stop? Not trying to pour water on your fire, just being realistic :sad: |

Holding pool
Do we yet know how many are in the holding pool following the AQC? It appears strange that there are a growing number getting their feet wet when easyjet are having to fly 2 captains cos there aren't enough 1st officers (or so I hear)!
Are there any airlines presently recruiting from CTC? |
