As far as i'm aware, there are some decent airport hotels located very close to the training centre. I'll ask a friend of mine who went last year which one he stayed in and will send you a PM.

Hello!
Few days ago I've received an invitation for an assessment day in BUD, I mean I received an email: "You are invited for a pilot assessment" but when I try to book an assessment days there's a warning message "All event is full, please come back later!".
Do you have any ideas how much time it can take to find any available date? and do I receive another email with the info about new free days? or I just have to keep trying now&then via candidate Wizz Air Recruiting Event Management webpage? Maybe somebody had the same situation.

Thanks in advance for the answer, best regards!

Any recommendations were to stay in BUD for the assessment?

One friend of mine recommended me that place Altair Airport Apartman. It's located very near.
I hope it helps. Greetings ;)

Has anyone from the pool actually started lately? Or are they only just building pool? Last time I checked people were expiring their 12 months in the pool, so are they actually hiring or just replenishing the pool?

Considering how vague they were at pilot expo and 15% of the fleet grounded, I would say the former?

What do you mean with vague? What have they told at Pilot Expo? There's still people from April waiting in the holding pool according to my information, but I assume they will be called.

Please tell me what they have told. Thanks!

Feedback on assessment

I wanted to get some karma back and share my experience.

stage 1

60 invited, some no shows, divided in 4 groups.

Company presentation, they are transparent about the conditions and base allocations.
if not type rated you will have to do apsmcc with them which is bonded in your contract.

then technical questions, honestly very general knowledge. Most pilots should know these without studying. Very fair test, nothing impossible including some questions about wizzair.

group exercise, my best advice I can give you is to keep track of time. And don’t monopolize the scene.

at this stage they cut 50%. Mostly, underdress and unprepared candidates without the proper documentation. So if you want to give yourself a chance, just follow the instructions on their booklet and you give yourself a chance to pass to the second stage and practice your english, group tasks almost certainly assesses your language skills.

stage 2

personal + technical interview

they ask you who you are, etc
plus base preference
plus some technical questions, nothing too hard in my opinion, everything you would find in any preparation booklet.

stage 3

sim with briefing at 5:15, they have 3/4 sims running, so in 3 sessions everyone is done

stage 4

psycometrics, easier than other airlines.

I wish all the best to everyone applying, and have to say wizz are very fair and transparent! Whether one passes the test or not, i feel very respected and taken care off.

Great input thanks.

Still no word if when people will be called out of the pool? As I understand there has been little or no movement on that and some people's 12 months on the pool are expiring.

stallato 15th Mar 2024 14:35

about fifteen people were called this week with a TR start date. It is not known whether others will be contacted

Interview Prep

Hey!

It would be greatly appreciated if someone could share what website/material they used to prepare for the interview.

Thanks in advance!

SeZo82 24th Mar 2024 17:50

Hello,

I think the pilotassessment.com is very good. And wizzair website for the history, and the ATPL subjects.

Good luck for the preparation.

If any of you have recently participated in an airline selection process, could you kindly share your experience by filling out this questionnaire?

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Anyone here who has been called out of talent pool lately? I understand that they have a long waiting ling for TR right now because of engine issues (in BUD they said that probably 6-8 months). As the assesment is only valid for 12 months, it seems to be a risky wait as some guys have previously gone well over 12 months in the holding pool.
