go as you are, no need for APS in your case, go for good sim prep for 2 hrs instead

Just sent in the application now so fingers crossed, i also have access to the 737-800 sim as much as i want to practice so will be able to practice the manual flying skills anyway

Hello,

Question about the SIM assessment in Dublin. If anybody can enlighten, it would be much appreciated!

When going to the SIM, do the applicants (PF/PM) have to start from cold and dark, or do the assessment start on the runway with just some checklists and briefings that needs to be done ?

Aviationpassion 7th Oct 2022 06:36

You'll start straight from the runway, engines running. You will need to set NAVAIDs frequencies (not comms).
Do your departure briefing, ask for clearance and off you go !

How long did you have to wait between the mail "you´re on the holding pool list we will be contacting you in due course blabla".... and the mail with the invitation to Dublin
Thanks in advance

Hi everyone, starting the 12th December on FR2292, anyone on this course? Feel free to DM me

Toro103r 7th Oct 2022 10:59

I asked this while MCC training in Dublin, and they told me you will start at the holding point usually. you wont have a cold and dark setup

Hi,

I will be attending the assessment on the 25th of October in Ryanair HQ, Dublin. I booked some simulator preparation sessions at uPilot in Swords, on the 22nd and 23rd, but can still change the package from a single pilot to a dual pilot ;). If you are interested to partner up, DM me

The assessment starts on the threshold, not the holding point. Keep the briefing brief (aim for max 1 min), the details should have all been discussed in the briefing room with your partner beforehand (after they give you the plate). In the cockpit you should read the main points of the plate (RWY, SID, FREQs and verify your setup to the PM). Whilst you are setting up get the PM to request the weather, that way its ready for you after you setup (reference the wx at the start of the brief with a "weather is not limiting for a return") and the PM isnt twiddling their thumbs whilst you get yourself together.

After takeoff clearance state "straight ahead 3DME right turn heading 312 deg, call me 3 miles" and away you go. Sound confident and set a good tone for what's to come. You'll already have the assessor liking and believing in you by now (and thankful you haven't subjected him to a 5 min briefing bore fest).

HI Guys, Just a quick one! how are you notified about the invitation for the online assessment after you have submitted all your details online? is it through email or via a notification online in your account?

Hello all,

May be a silly question but is a headset required for the sim assessment stage? Mine is in current need of repair and i have my assessment round the corner, so not sure whether to try and get another or wait on the repair when I have time to send it off?

Also what do people usually wear for their interviews? Standard Suit and tie interview right?

Ty

No headset needed (not sure you'll ever need a headset for a sim?) and yes suit and tie

Does anyone have any idea about the rough cost of the whole assessment, hotel and food etc? I'm of course researching hotels etc. on my own as well, but would be interesting to know how much the day is generally setting people back.

21pilots 12th Oct 2022 22:20

Does anybody want a ryr pilotassessments account for a lower price than in the website? Over 2 months remaining

A320LGW 12th Oct 2022 23:32

It's all free on pilotest.com

JuliusCaesar 13th Oct 2022 08:25

Does the invitation to Dublin assessment come from a phonecall or do they send an email as the online assessment ?
