When I did my training with them a few months back they said it had been about half a year since the last placement. Not sure if that is true or not. There isn't gonna be any placements until the market turns I don't think......I'm ready for a long wait!

I passed the ATP course over a year ago so can speak from experience. I would like to make a few points about my experience to manage expectations on this:
1. No one that completed the course has been called for a TR yet.
2. It was made clear to us that we would only be taken on if the current Cadet Pool was exhausted. This clearly has not happened yet. We live in hope
3. The quality of training was very good in comparison to my other experiences.
4. Unfortunately communication from CTC since completing the course has been non-existent apart from a letter confirming I had passed the course and would be considered if the current Cadet Pool was exhausted

Yes that is correct
The only way the ATP Pool will be looked at is if demand outstrips supply (from the Cadet Pool)

Cloudwanderer - no, they haven't 'lost' anything. They are now both 'preferred' suppliers to easyJet. If you'd looked at the CTC Wings website you'd see very similar propaganda to the story on OAA's. ("CTC Wings is THE route into easyJet", etc.)
Regarding your question on what 'impact CTC have on the market', you'll have to be much more specific. Not quite sure what you're getting at there.

When I finished my AQC not too long ago, there were cadets already "swimming" around in 200+ place in the pool. In addition to that, there are AQC courses every two weeks (if I'm not mistaken), therefore the pool will only grow. So, my question is, will the pool ever be "exhausted" in order to give the ATPs a chance? Or do ATPs get mixed along with the cadets during TRs?

ok. It is possible that both CTC and OAA share the pilot need for Easy. Has it allways been like that or is it totally new? If so, it should take even longer time to "empty" the pool.
Zippy Monster: Just trying to figure out if ctc has such a name in the Aviation business that the partner companies would chose them instead of other companies. (for example oaa)

I am very sceptical that you have infact complated an AQC. Which SIM did you do it in? How many details did you fly? How long for each one? I would be interested to hear this.
You would not be asking this question if you had completed an AQC as you would know that a seperate pool exisited!

I asked those questions because after the AQC all I received from CTC was an email saying that I reached the standard and the MCC/CRM diploma at home. No information about any sort of pool.
I'm well aware that Cadets will always have an advantage over ATP. That was properly explained during the assessment day and before signing up for the AQC.
If you don't believe that I did the AQC thats your problem, I have no reason to justify myself to you. I thought that we were all here to help out each other.

Any movement in the CTC ATP holdpool?
Anybody know if the ATP holdpool is shifting yet?.
I believe there were approx 10 people type rated people ready to go towards the end of last year. Did any of you folk in the hold pool that time see the light?
There seems to be a nice bit of movement in the industry now...
