Post NOW Airlines

Has anybody had any luck with NOW Airlines and the 2nd Officer/Cadet jobs that were being offered ??

From what i've heard they are only taking on Type Rated 737 folks.

I had a nice PFO letter a few days ago but will keep knocking on the doors.

Saw someone being offered an interview on the thread to do with Air Wales....good luck to you Civil.

My other half applied 2 months ago and we've still not heard.

When did you receive your letter - what exactly did it say?

I hope they haven't canned the direct entry 2nd officer scheme - only glimmer of hope around at the mo, it seems.

The cadet schemes is still operating, but by cadet I think they mean low hours FATPL, rather than training you up from PPL. My partner in the sim the other day had only just completed his CPL a few months ago. However he had got a 737 rating.

Civil,

So how did it go? Been offered the job yet?

I can't help but think they want as many type rated as poss irrespective of experience to keep costs down!

I applied online but have heard nothing yet. Suppose another application disappears into the ether yet again!

Red face

PFO arrived today, in duplicate. But to be fair, it was a very nice note.

Max,

I think it's fair to say that many applications submitted online were never received. I heard that their website was having problems well after I had submitted my application online a few weeks back. Spoke to someone from HR this week and they said my application had never been received. It seems they have concluded their first round selection for non-type rated first/second officer positions. Type rated drivers are still required. However, I was asked to send in a cv and covering letter so at least I would be on the system.

as far as i know they are only really interested in type rated guys for the beginning so everything can get running etc then they will bring in the non type rated people as required. They are really keen on bringing in people to progress through the company. Nice bunch of people all in all. if anyone wants to know the latest pm me and i will update when i hear stuff

Civil,

I am sorry to hear that, however I suspect it is their loss. Things will improve for you I am certain!

I have not heard anything...... not a PFO, not an offer. NOTHING

Tailscrape

Perhaps no news is good news, as I was out within 3 days of the sim. I'm hoping it's a situation of them having found enough people for the job, rather than me being crap and they're still looking!

Maybe when they get around to offering jobs, there might not be as many takers as they expect (I hear that Britannia are looking for type rated 757/767 crews)!

Civ,

I think you may be right!

I have it on good authority that Britannia do not expect to get many rated people.

Perhaps NOW may be lucky? However I am amazed that u aint in. I really hope u get sorted. Keep in touch.
