From someone in the know: 300+ got to final interview. Company has been watching this thread and eyes have been rolling. All down to luck at this stage. Nothing else you can do. Just move on and if they want you, they’ll call you. If they don’t, it doesn’t mean they don’t want you. Most in the final interview can do the job.

Evening all, Thought I'd add my pennies worth and wish everyone luck in being selected onto the course and congratulations to anyone that gets it.
I was fortunate enough to get to an assessment day a couple of weeks ago now but didn't get through to the final interview. Of course I am gutted but after some reflection I am still really proud of how far I got in the process and was genuinely taken back by the calibre of candidate I was surrounded by on the day, I struggle to imagine just how much talent there is across all the applicants. It was quite inspiring to be in a room of such driven and talented people from all sorts of employment backgrounds and I don't envy the recruitment team in having to pick, it must be like comparing apples to apples. Fingers crossed for next time around!

A family friend let me know they got a rejection this morning after getting to the final round. They asked for advice but given the company doesn't give feedback there isn't much advice I could give other than try again.

I also received a rejection email this morning so thought I would share a few things from my experience. I went to one of the first assessment centres in September and felt that I had performed really well. I left thinking that it couldn’t have went any better which is all you can really do. Like the Captain said on the day there is a high degree of luck involved in the process too and it’s likely a lot of candidates on each given day are capable of performing the role to a high standard.
Yes I am disappointed, but not disheartened. The only negative I could think was that my school results weren’t the best however I had made the minimum requirements. I had left school nearly 12 years ago now though and have had a very good career in a non aviation field to date, I’m also doing my PPL. I’m not likely to apply for next years programme as I will hopefully have my CPL by then as have saved up cash to fund my own training. The assessment day was a very good experience in itself and is excellent preparation for any airline interviews you may have in the future. I also thought the standard of candidate on the day was very high. Whoever gets a place will be brilliant and also very lucky.
I wish everyone all the best.

Looks like there is less than 100 left in the pot. Well done to that lot. Hearing they are trying to get more funding for more cadetships this year as the standard was so high. Makes sense.
