Yeah that's a bit out of field unless your friend has an other degree on theoretical sience. Or maybe he mentioned a spacial interest on the topic in CV ?
If neither, I guess they are looking for pilots to teleport people to reduce costs.

Can anyone confirm that the pre COVID pay scales have been restored or are they on the reduced scale still?

Everyone is back to normal salary (cabin crew, office, management) except the pilots.
They are removing the B scale, but the pilots still have a paycut of 12.5% until at least next April. And increments for captains are capped at 5000h.

Captain Spam Can

I passed the interview too, I think your friend showed attitude or gave them the opportunity to talk about string theory.

Base salary above assumes you're type rated and not paying off the bond, expect 5k/year less otherwise.
30-50k net for SFO sounds about right, depending on the base, taxation, whether paying off the bond or not etc.
Time to upgrade depends on your hours, everything was suspended for the last 1,5 years but upgrades have already restarted, and we were told that every SFO meeting the requirements (>3500h factorised) will have a chance for upgrade before next summer season.

The advert for experienced NTR FO has been pulled. The advert for NTR cadets is still online.

I wonder if to ranked as SFO and be remunerated as such now one needs 1500 hrs of Wizz time.

Well at least in some bases the pay scales have been restored and by next April it should be back to normal system wide. Anyone know how many sectors to expect a month?

Also are they still applying base multipliers to the total pay or only to the base or the variables, last time I seen UK multiplier was 1.5 and Romania was 1.45, how is that justified giving the significant difference in cost of living?

There's simply no answer to that. Once things pick up again, expect to fly close to yearly limits, or on average 70-75 hours a month. That could mean X 4 sector domestic days in Italy, Y 2 sector days out of eg Abu Dhabi or Kutaisi, or a mix of Z 2 and 4 sector days at other places. The longer the sectors, the less of them you'll be flying.

I hope these numbers are monthly, if not, you have to be really 🤬 to join this company. I never understood why pilots are accepting this kind of crappy conditions.

Is it better to sit at home and get your ratings expired, while waiting for "decent job offer"?

Hopefully making these numbers public will make the young and hopeful who’ve yet to start their training think twice. Obviously the investment doesn’t match the future career potential. This should be clear to everyone now.
Understandably the young pilots who are already more than 100 grand in will accept just about anything. Plenty of companies taking full advantage of that fact..

Did anyone apply for the NTR FO Cadet program and still waiting for an answer? I did apply a month ago and still, the application says ''We are currently reviewing all applications.''

Hello guys,
I have recently applied to the "Cadet Type Rated, without 500h", as I already have a TR with low hours on type.
Do you think I can expect an answer anytime soon, or maybe at some point later on (probably next year ) ?
Any other rated cadet applied with little o no hours ?

Thank you
